Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

South Korea- No quiet hour rules even though the house doesn't have good soundproof. I woke up at 1 am from someone laughing out loud (I use ear plugs). - I wish there were more layers of sheet for the bed. Only one sheet for the bare bed is not very hygenic. - The house has the old carpet or pet smell which I think is common in some houses in North America when the entire house has the carpet and not new. It felt more strong first day but I think I got used to it lol - There is no kitchen access. So it's like an airbnb set up but hotel's limitation..
- Size of the bedroom and the bed - I was able to check-in early! - Super close to the airport (7-8 mins uber ride) - 2 bottles of 500ml water are provided and it's not very common in lots of airbnbs - Very residnetial and peaceful neighborhood with lots of trees - Bus stop is 5 mins walk away. Downtown is about 20-25 mins away by bus. - There are decent and affordable restaurants around the bus stop (Sushi King has lunch special for $11!) - There is a hair dryer in the bathroom

GermanyI wish they would get rid of the carpet that has become dirty over the years. Even though it seems like everyone takes their shoes off before coming inside, there is visible dirt on the carpet which is not easy to clean. The kitchen and the floor upward had a little smell of something the carpet might have sucked, however my room didn't had that.
Check-in at late times was easy, you get the door code and you are set. There was fresh filtered water every morning in the kitchen area and water bottles in the room. The room and bathroom were overall clean.
