Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe only problem I had was the room was tilted really badly. I woke up in the morning with a headache. But it was a cheap motel in a small town, so I hadn't really expected a top of the line place. But the staff was friendly, so our stay was pleasant. I would stay here again.

CanadaAt bit of highway traffic noise but not bad. Some noise from other guests footsteps that kind of bounce through the floor but again not bad.
Great staff - when we arrived we caused some confusion because we thought we had only booked for 2 days but it was 3 (which we were so happy for). Got it sorted out then realized the rooms didn't have a microwave but the host kindly offered to warm up our meal in the restaurant. It was very hot in the Yukon at the time and there is little if any AC in these small towns but this hotel had back and front windows so you could get great cross ventillation with the room fan. Everything was very clean. Large rooms. Also great view of the mountains from the back window. Convenient crossroads location close to other restaurants and bakery, not far to airport for flightseeing, etc.

United StatesOld coffee stain on dresser and inside dresser drawer. Bathroom fan bearings sound bad.. bathroom fan should be replaced. Luke warm water served at the resteraunt...should be cold water.
One floor. Parking right outside room. Gas station across the street. Dogs are allowed. I also stay at the Alcan motel across the street and both are 2 star motels with food that is not great.
