Not really a resort. More like a condo community trying to be a resort. Challenging for a person in a wheelchair.

    Location, nice suite.

I didn’t like that I emailed twice and had no response. The room on the last 2 stays was below the standard we were expecting. The Aberdeen block is in need of complete updating, fixtures are tired, drains run slowly. They did change his room to one in the same block, that one had some improvements but it still wasn’t great. The drain in the tub was still old and drained slowly so it’s probably clogged. It’s a bit of a risk booking because we are expecting premium crown isle standard and not crown isle motel.

Out of town, quiet, nice setting. We like the location a lot. When you get a good room it’s a nice place to stay.

Price for condition of room and facilities was quite bad. I pay less to stay in nice hotels in Vancouver. Everything in our suite was very dated and very worn out. Yellowed, cracking toilet and fixtures, no side table on one side of the bed, holes and pencil all over the walls from moving framed artwork, mildew in the shower/tub area, poor signage on arrival for check in, and it was confusing trying to find out where to go. Staff were very young and not particularly helpful or friendly.

We liked that there were accommodations available at our event location

    Zero complaints.

Location was proximate and very quiet. Summer on the FD was super friendly, great energy and offered a complete upgrade to a jacuzzi suite. Deluxe. Had dinner in the restaurant. Staff was attentive, food was tasty. I left my toothbrush at home. A simple text message resulted in a knock on the door with a friendly face presenting me with exactly what I needed X 2. Check out was easy. Highly recommend.

If there are pets staying with their people, may I suggest they be booked on ground level rooms as their foot patter can be heard right below. Thanks : )

The front reception staff (Emma and another fellow, I didn't catch his name) were both very excellent and went above and beyond. Especially getting me to the ferry when the cab was not going to be available in time. Outstanding people!

The address listed for the resort took us to a dead end and it was a struggle to find the resort entrance late at night in the dark. We called and got help from the late-night desk clerk, which helped but was still challenging to find. We hope Crown Isle will transition away from single-use toiletries to bulk toiletries, as many hotels are doing now to avoid plastic waste, which often ends up in the ocean.

I was traveling in BC, Canada from California to help build the new Double Bay Sanctuary for orca whales on remote Hanson Island, where OrcaLab is located. Unfortunately, I needed emergency care near the end of my stay, which led us to the Comox Valley ER. Crown Isle was the only property in Comox showing availability that night (the peak of summer season), so even though it was much, MUCH swankier than we needed, we booked it. What a surprise and delight Crown Isle Resort is! The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are huge and well appointed, with a fully stocked kitchen, separate living room, two fireplaces (!) and a balcony with cafe table and chairs overlooking the forest. Even though the front desk closed before we arrived, a desk clerk met us and offered coffee and cookies, and got us checked in. I'm not a golfer, but if I were, I would definitely stay here, and I'd stay here again just for the comfort, beauty, and luxurious pampering Crown Isle offers. The big, plush robe, jet bathtub, down pillows and comforter, L'Occitane toiletries, and every other lovely detail were worth the splurge.

The hot water tank did not work properly so only one person could shower then we had to wait for over two hours for the next person to be able to shower or use the tub . I had to boil pots of water so my autistic daughter could have a bath before her graduation ceremony. Also the air-conditioning unit was broken and this was a week ago and still waiting to see if u get a discount from my room . We were not very happy as my mom was sick and had to wait to have a shower last minute before we had to leave the room .

I loved the location, the grounds and the rooms were big and beautiful. The food was fantastic.

We didn’t dine in the restaurant but we did have a couple of drinks at the bar and they weren’t the best cocktails.

It was great to have a designated area of the property for dog friendly accommodations. It made it easy to let the pups out to potty as well as it made cleaning up of accidents simple because the unit was equipped with flooring rather then carpeting.

    Cant think of anything.

This property exceeded our expectations. The cleanliness, comfort, amount of space, and design/decor was a nice surprise. It was peaceful and quiet with the balcony and windows overlooking the golf course and tall trees. The beds and bedding were very comfy, including the sofa bed which seemed new. The kitchen had everything you need for a short stay. We ate at the resort restaurant 1 night and it was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return for another stay!
