Too many led lights of various devices (clock, tv, microwave). We had to cover them as they are too bright for our sleep.

the hair dryer in my room only blew cold air.. I gave up drying my hair after 30 minutes..this was the first time I didn’t bring my own hair dryer and only because I only wanted to bring essentials as we where travelling by UTV. it was a bit inconvenient considering how cold it was outside but other than that I enjoyed my stay..

We arrived late in the evening after 7 pm and our room had not been cleaned, which was not known by staff until we went to it and found it still not made up from the previous guest. This required us to spend almost an hour in the lobby, tired, with our small dog, waiting for the room to get done, which thankfully happened as the cleaning staff was literally going to be leaving at 8 pm. The person who checked us in was mildly sympathetic, but did not keep us informed about the progress, did not estimate how long it would take to get to our room, did not offer us a coffee or encourage us to go sit in the bar to relax. We had not eaten and could have gone to do that, but we didn't know how long it would take and we just wanted to get unpacked and get our dog settled. By the time we got to the room and then attempted to go for dinner after 8 pm, the place we wanted to go was closed. This all could have been avoided and a little more comfort offered if the front desk staff had been a bit more sympathetic and communicative. In years and years of travel, we have never arrived at a hotel to find a room not ready at the time of day. It was a disappointment to be sure.

The floor in our room was very used-up, the sink was rusting, the metal shelves were rusting and the bottom of the shower curtain was mouldy. The breakfast consisted of prepackaged foods in a paper bag - we where given the choice between three menus. We found it quite wasteful due to the amount of disposable plastic and the prepackaged food was generic. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant would have been preferable.

Rooms and hallways were brightly decorated and beds were comfortable. An automated coffee machine was available at the entrance of the bar at no extra fee.

A few stains on our sheets, which if put at the foot of the bed we wouldn’t have even noticed. Front entrance had a tripping hazard, with an uneven surface. The stairways had dry dirt that hadn’t been cleaned the 2 days we were there. Wish we could have received our CAA discount. We were told we couldn’t because we booked online.

The breakfasts had a good variety of items. Appreciated there were no carpets in our room.

Room 205 needs a new sink ring. Need a new lugagges rack. So rusted. Also the sofa is old and has tears. The furniture were all hand painted and could use a but more quality for the amount we pay

The receptionist guy was very friendly. Loved the coffee machine and juice Machine. Check in and check out was quick. Closed to highway. Room was very clean

Everything was fine.

The hotel was a nice surprise, being much more comfortable and attractive than we were expecting. The hotel had very strict covid protocols which we greatly appreciated. The room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom. The small table and chairs was a nice touch for our take out supper and the packed breakfast. The packed breakfast was generous and delicious. The hotel was very quiet.

Location great and so easy to find and convenient. All staff brilliant, helpful and friendly. Room comfortable, quiet and clean and had everything you would need. Breakfast was fantastic and very fulfilling.
