Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ThailandWould have received a 10/10 had they checked the rooms for towels usage (which unfortunatly they hadn't).
The room was quiet, the bed was comfy and the downtown location was perfect. The hotel is very well kept, the amenities were brilliant, the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

CanadaWe were out on a pet floor snd had a barking dog until we’ll after midnight. This dog was also barking when we left for dinner around 5:45om. Obviously left alone in the room. My husband was VERY upset about this and spoke to management.

Canadaroom 427. didn't eat breakfast as I left quite early. Would be nice if I could receive a corporate rate. I work for the Gorman Bros in Westbank which is a local sawmill. Typically I get pressured to stay in Westbank but for the right price i'd stay here every visit.

CanadaI booked my room because it stated in the description that I would have a pool view and when I check in the hotel said the room I booked didn't. The view out of my room was terrible.
The breakfast included in the price of the room was excellent. The pool reservations system was very well run. I was able to get early checkin and late checkout.

CanadaThe pedal boats are broken, need a better maintenance. No daily supply of complimentary bottle water in our room. Got some issue to borrow towels for the use at the beach.
Good location, walking distance to beach and restaurants. Friendly staff. Resort fee covers the use of kayaks and bikes. Clean room and good brunch.

CanadaThe resort is quite pricy notwithstanding the amenities: It should have been priced better in the marketplace. I would have expected the price at a Fairmount, not Marriott. Nevertheless we decided to splurg and treat ourselves on our journey west but I would think twice before booking again if there are reasonable alternatives available.
Location was very good. We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the patio overlooking the Lagoon. The room was spatious and quite comfortable. Unfortunately we did not have sufficient time to explore the onsite amenities, nor the local community. There seems to be a lot to do if you have a little more time to explore.
