How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Airport shuttle times should be shared in advance and also adjusted on booking.com. Unfortunately, we had to wait for more than 1h to get the shuttle and when we called the hotel (which is quite costly) the answer was given on a very rude way and call was dismissed immediately. Breakfast is provided by the ground floor Indian restaurant, very basic.
Free airport shuttle was convenient as the train to downtown is at the airport. Staff in the hotel was friendly for most of them.

Hearing the sounds of the airplanes, they were frequent, not a noise I'm used to so sleep was difficult.
I enjoyed breakfast, it was very filling and tasty. I loved the location of the hotel, right by the airport. Plus the shuttle service was excellent.

Shuttle times should be clearer in booking as it’s not matching reality (frequency of operation and timings for each terminal), breakfast was very basic
Location next to the airport with free shuttle operating to the airport (train to downtown). Was reasonable price.

Air-conditioning was very noisy and strong, it was not very obvious how to stop it. we tried to walk around in the evening and it was not super nice area, like warehouses and logistic centers. Sounds isolation was quite bad: we heard not only planes took off and landed at nignts, but also all the guest passing by like they were in our room
Shuttle is good, but we waiter for more than 30 min. Breakfast is very American and from disposable tableware. Overall this is place to stay when you need to sleep between flights.

Arrived to room at 3 am from airport. Smooth check-in. Had a late - noon check out - which was nice. Staff in hallway were talking loudly in morning approx 8-9 am. Only complaint.

This hotel worked very well as an overnight stay between flights. The room was was warm, clean and comfortable. The airport shuttle was very efficient, particularly at 4.00am.

I could not find the elevator which meant I had to carry two heavy suitcases up the stairs. Moreover, the breakfast was rather minimalistic.
The check-in and check-out were quick and uncomplicated. The location is amazing, the shuttle to the airport was on time and quick. The room was perfect for a one night stay.

Airport shuttle was late, and when another bus was parked at post R3, it drove right by. Some people tried to run after it, but we stayed close to the post. It eventually came back around, but as the people who ran after it were trying to make their way back, the shuttle just drove right by them (even though myself, and other passengers tried to alert to driver to stop).
Hotel was quiet, clean and really close to airport. Continental breakfast was as expected (usual items).

The rooms could use a renovation and lacking outlets / USB ports. We did not expect nor need more than a good bed, a clean room and friendly service.
The bed is wonderful and the room is very clean. Check-in service prompt, efficient and very friendly. The pub was cozy and the the wait staff quick and accommodating. Nice to relax after a long flight and before a short night. A quick drive in the shuttle took us back to the airport very early the next morning, the driver was friendly and helpful.
