Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaThe bar and restaurant prices are a bit steep for what you get. The buffet, while expensive, has everything you could think of.
The hotel room itself was nicer than some apartments. Full kitchen was nice although there didn't seem to be many grocery stores in the area. The gym was large and the staff were very friendly. For example, I made the mistake of going for the non-complimentary buffet. I had already filled my plate when I found out. The service offered fresh cooked to order eggs instead of the buffet ones so I went ahead and enjoyed a massive and delicious breakfast. I expected, and was willing to pay for this meal considering it was my mistake. The hostesses directed me to the "Element" breakfast but when I saw the buffet, I thought that was where I had to go. When I got up to leave and ask for the bill the server told me "don't worry, I will take care of it." I insisted to pay but she insisted right back. I was very impressed and thankful for this as they could have charged me to my room. If I wanted a hotel near the airport again in Toronto I would look at returning to Element.

We walked to the hotel from Pearson as it seemed too short to bother with a cab. Room was good, but what really amazed us was the quality of the restaurant for dinner. It was excellent and not nearly as expensive as the usual hotel restaurants can be. Breakfast was also very good.

Staff were super friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions and helped me out with finding a place to eat after their restaurant was closed. The room was very clean and tidy and having a place to prepare meals was a great addition.

CanadaThe pool was a bit small ( disappointing) . The restaurant was extremely expensive .. and nothing much on menu but basic salads, and burgers and finger foods.
My room was fantastic,. they upgraded me to a suite with fridge and stove .. that was really nice.. the blinds were so cool.. they literally blacked out the room and the room was sound-proof so I didn't hear any planes ( airport close to hotel) . Breakfast buffet was exceptional.. and very good.

Rooms are modern, bed was comfortable, staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast (weekends only) as well. Noon check out was great as well.
