Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaI didn’t love how small the new hot tub is compared to the original one. There is only room for 8 people in the new hot tub versus about 20 ppl In the original. Still a nice view and relaxing but it’s weird how CRMR cheated out on the hot tub.
Our room was cozy, we lit a fire, it snowed and the view from our balcony was stunning. The Reno’s in the dining room were beautiful. Food was delicious as usual. Our sever needed more customer service training or should maybe be placed in a position that better suits his personality.

CanadaThe room temperature was inadequate. Our initial room was extremely hot even after the door to the outside had been left open (in winter). We were moved to another room. This second room was extremely cold. We kept the wood fireplace going all the time to address this.
The ambiance and staff were excellent. The setting was beautiful.

CanadaI'm not sure if it was just our room but it was excessively hot in our room the entire time we were there - close to 30 degrees celsius all the time. It was unbearable, even for someone like me who is always cold, and we were there in February in middle of winter. Even when we turned the temperature completely off and turned on fans it never cooled down. After a sleepless first night we called for maintenance on the second night and they were prompt and professional. It never really cooled down though and I didn't want to call again in the middle of the night so we had to leave the balcony door open all night in order to sleep. Unfortunately, while we were visiting the internet went down due to a train derailment that knocked out a cell tower. This was totally not the fault of the lodge but the way they handled payments was extremely poor. After driving all day we arrived at the lodge late in the afternoon looking forward to relaxing and checking out the property. At reception, we were told we had to go to Lake Louise to get cash because the card machines were down at the hotel or we could not eat at the restaurants. I asked if we could charge to the room and pay in cash the next morning instead of rushing out just before supper to get cash from a machine in another town. They were insistent that if we did not have cash we would not have food (supper or breakfast the next morning). So we rushed to the town before our dinner reservation and the roads got dark. When we were at supper we found that they were allowing people to charge to the room and our hectic 1.5-hour trip to and from a nearby town was completely unnecessary. I was really annoyed by the the hotel's response as this created unnecessary stress and put a damper on our stay. I felt they could have been more understanding and willing to work with us at least until the next morning just as we were understanding of the issues that they encountered with no internet at the property.
The views and location of the Emerald Lake Lodge were amazing and it is definitely a place you want to stay at least once in your life. I liked all the amenities at the main lodge like the dining and lounge areas and especially enjoyed the outdoor hot tub. The restaurants served delicious food and we enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet which had a wide variety of items. It felt like we were in a quaint village and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the lodge. The wood fireplace in our room was wonderful and we loved the cozy feel. Staff were generally pretty helpful and we received a super quick response from maintenance when we asked about an issue with the heating in our room.

CanadaWe did not have our room cleaned for the whole day that we were out. We left early in the morning specifically to leave enough time for the cleaning staff to clean. We arrived back at 430pm and the cleaning staff arrived at 5pm to clean our room. We were very unhappy with this. We were getting ready for dinner reservations at that time. We asked for them to just freshen our towels and make the bed while we were at dinner. They did not do this,
