Walking in and out of the hotel, and seeing a scruffy drunk roll in to the hotel reception.Oh and Scratchy towels

After our disappointing stay in Niagra Inn Suites waiting for our money coming through we decided we couldn't stay there any longer.So we again through you booked a stay in Toronto. Well we were warned about the club (underneath after we had booked) but not about anything else. We never heard anything at night so we can't complain about what was proberly going on.The reception staff were fine, no one cleaned our room, the towels were scratchy. But this hotel was definitely better than Niagra Inn Suites

the Strip club, which was located downstairs and there was no announcement about it when I was booking the room. The Services quality was really poor and unsatisfying

the room had a shared bathroom and toilet with the whole floor which was more than 20 rooms. (one bathroom and one toilet for the whole floor, Can you even imagine it?) No facilities were available and the price for just 1 night was 200 CAD. Just a waste of money!!!

The music beat from the gentlemen´s club can be faintly heard each night but it didn´t stop me from going to sleep.

As hotels in downtown Toronto are extremely expensive, Filmore´s Hotel is both affordable and close to the Dundas / Yonge attractions. The outward appearance of the building matches its tired age, but inside the rooms are comfortable and serve their purpose. Single men looking for an evening´s entertainment can be treated to an erotic show, chatting to friendly girls and more. Those not interested in such things, on the other hand, would be hardly aware of any of this going on.

The maintenance man didn't come in until the last day of our stay so we couldn't get the fridge and microwave we specifically requested weeks in advance added to our room until then. Even the process of getting it actually put in was made difficult by the staff and required constant prodding. The room was the worst hotel room I've stayed in with the bed RIGHT up against a wall so one of us had to crawl into the bed from the foot each night.. The building physically is falling apart. The bathroom had clear windows at chest height so at night the buildings adjacent could look right in. We had to put items in front of the window to feel comfortable using the bathroom at night! Even though the location was great is was NOT worth the rest of the experience. I should have listened to the homeless man that yelled at us "Don't go in there!"

The staff were nice if a bit unknowledgeable. The location is actually fantastic and very close to the subway and major metro areas.

It had a stripper bar downstairs, was not clean at all (stains all over the bed and walls), toilet wasn’t flushing properly, bed not at all comfortable, in a really sketchy area of town so there were sirens all night.

Truly nothing. We chose it because it was close to downtown, but it was not a good place at all.

There was nothing good about this hotel from the moment I walked up the stairs to the lobby and smelled cat urine. The room was musty smelling and the bathroom shower sprayed water around the entire room so you could not keep your towels or clothes from getting wet. After we went to bed, we heard a scratchy chewing noise and discovered a mouse had chewed a hole in a bag of chips we left on the floor! First thing in the morning I reported the mouse and asked for another room and got one right above. This room was a little better- it smelled less musty and the bathroom shower was adequate- didn’t soak us! The staff apologized for the inconvenience which I appreciated.

There is no elevator at this hotel. If you are travelling with a medium size/large luggage it can be a bit challenging for you.

The hotel is within walking distance to Dundas Square and shopping malls around that area. The room is equipped with a tv, fan, and a wash basin. I chose the shared toilet and bathroom. The shared toilet is located on one other end of the corridor and the bathroom is one the other end of the corridor. The room is clean regularly. There is also self-service machine machine and dryer at the pantry next to reception area.

Walls were too thin - our neighbour was yelling on his phone for most of the night and we could hear him perfectly. It's also above a strip club, and we could hear the music too clearly. The beds weren't that comfortable, either.
