Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Hong KongIrresponsible and extremely rude staff. They accused us is the one who caused the water leakage and deducted our deposit. The fact is we didn’t operate the washing machine during our stay and also, they did not show any valid evidence to prove that we did it. They ignore our emails and did not give out a reasonable explanation to us.

United States1. Very annoying self check process, understanding and then getting in and out of the apartment to and getting to the parking to apartment room has been nightmare. You learned the craziness as you live their. 2. Refrigerator smells so bad the min you opened the door. Probably not cleaned for long time!! 3. You can't open balcony door because so many small bugs waiting to enter the apartment. And bugs flying inside the apartment as well. It's so annoying.

CanadaThe stove didn't work. We bought everything to cook the dinner, but then we figured out that it didn't work. I contacted the agent, after some tries under their supervision they told that it seemed that there was some problem with the stove. When I told them that they had to compensate it somehow, they simply kept silence. Everything should work for the amount of money we paid.

CanadaVery difficult to access support, and when you reach them expect to get almost no help other than just generic answers. I believe support is just a call center for the company and they have no idea how to help you. They made me and my group wait 40 minutes after 4 pm (check-in time) in front of the building door before buzzing us in. They also would not let me use parking before 4 pm. They gave us an assigned parking spot (which we paid extra for) in a nearby building which caused issues for us to access (key fob not programmed to open P2 parking level)

CanadaThe description on this listing is not accurate. It said there are two bunk beds, 1 bed and another sofa bed, only when we arrived there were only 3 beds total. We had to book another hotel for one of our friends. Upon contacting the host, they offered free parking but then refused to pick up the phone afterward. Check-in and parking were extremely complicated.
It's a nice appartment very spacious.

IndiaNot worth the money. Location was decent but navigating to the room, collecting keys, parking car was complicated. Everything needs to be dealt via email. It took us around 40 mins outside the building to wait before check in.
