It's definitely time to replace the airconditioning / heating units. These are dated and noisy, blowing air -- either hot or cold, depending on setting. It's annoying when you need a good night's sleep and are constantly woken up by a noisy device that blows air.

Overall, the accommodation provides the basics for someone who is on the go and needs easy access to the highway and the nearby ski resorts.

No complaints for this stay. The hotel is old, but had decent renovations.

Had an amazing view over the valley. Did room service from the restaurant and the pizza we had was great. The pool had a water slide, hot tub and sauna. All good. The price was very reasonable for the quality.

We had to call twice to have them stop completing loud repairs beside our room, drilling and grinding... Not appropriate to commence such repairs with guests nearby.

The staff quickly arranged a crib for our infant son after we requested it upon check-in.

The breakfast was a bit poor, and since it was just sitting there with no one in sight, it looked a bit unhygienic. We didn’t figure out the thermostat in the room, but as it was -12C outside, it was probably not too bad that it was a bit hot

Very convenient location, just off highway 1. Price-quality what you’d expect. There were two spacious beds in the room, the room was clean and we had everything we needed.

The breakfast was meant to be easy for the staff, so they only provide plastic cutlery, paper cups, etc. Just plates are washed. The hot food is clearly frozen and just baked in the oven - like hash browns and canned baked beans, store-bought bulk muffins, eggo waffles. The furniture in the room is very dated, with mismatched chairs and squeaking bed springs. I suspect the toaster in our kitchenette is as old as I am, and I had to go to reception to ask for more spoons and mugs so we would have a set of 4 for the family to eat. Since it was Family day weekend it was quite busy, and we had some noisy skiers partying next door in the evenings as well. It is a bit of a drive down to Golden and then up to Kickinghorse and Dawn Mountain for skiing, but that didn’t bother us.

The wifi is great, there was light daily housekeeping, the pool with waterslide, hot tub and sauna is a nice facility and there were always fresh towels at reception. Our room faced across the valley for a great view, and we had easy access to our vehicle. Keurig coffee pods were provided for the room, including decaf. The reception lent us scissors while we needed them for a game. As a side sleeper, I was very happy with the fluffy pillows rather than the flat pancakes we often find at hotels. Hot breakfast was included and had a good variety of options.

The price is good, plenty of parking lots, thefood in the restaurant is marvellous!! The room is big, also comes with a kitchen room with a family-size fridge and cooking ware.
