Very strong cigarette smell in the room! There was a sign in the room that said it was a non smoking but it wasn’t fresh cigarette…it was very old

The room was newly refurbished, clean and comfortable. The restaurant food was absolutely delicious and with fast EV chargers on site, it was a great place to spend the night. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The furniture was older, and looked like it was falling apart. One evening we went to the hot tub and it was cold and very chemically.

The Wifi was useless. We booked this hotel because it had a pool. The booking site said that there was a pool. However the pool could not be used. Therefore the fair thing to do is tell the guests that there was no pool so they can make a different booking. I think that the fair resolution is to refund or partially refund our stay.

A fan was noisy and we needed to move. The restaurant that’s part of the hotel was very cold.

Some of the upgrades seemed to not work well. The toilet seat wasn’t right for the toilet and the toilet paper holder is installed under the sink. The hook for towels in the bathroom on the back of the door is so high up that it’s basically on the ceiling, and all the baseboards and stuff are just 2x4s that still have writing on them from the hardware store. You had to hold down the handle for the toilet to ever flush and even though the rooms look recently renovated the shower head is super old. Also the curtains looked like they had started to be ripped down. Some outlets were loose in the wall and also some you couldn’t plug anything into.

Our check-in and check out were totally contactless. The room seemed to be updated and even though a few things missed the mark, overall it was good. This is a very okay place to stay. No major issues, nothing amazing. Beds are comfortable, room is spacious.

We stopped just for a night before heading for a Rockwall 3-day hike. The beds were comfortable and the room was quite large with a kitchenette area.

Advertise have pool but ice cold can’t use.. repairs needed … toilet paper roll hanging .. light switch cover hanging … no safety mat in tub .

No elevator, no continental breakfast (they have an Indian restaurant on site if that's your thing)

The motel is easily reachable from the highway and close to downtown Golden, about a five minute drive. The room had everything we needed and it was clean. Staff at checkin were friendly and there was free parking close to the room. Price was cheap so value for money is okay.

Updating of hotel was done with some quality issues. Threshold into bathroom glued in place and loose. Tripping hazard. Beautiful wood moldings everywhere and cheap, badly installed particle board bathroom cabinets. Already coming apart. Large stains on ceiling in 2 places; leaks from second floor. Plaster falling out. Mold?

It was just a stopover, checked in at 1am and had to leave by 11am - didn't have late check out option but not that big a deal, would have been more convenient though, too expensive for minimal options and features of room, even cable was very minimal and limited choices, not worth the money but had no choice in the moment.

Checked in at 1 am as that's when I drove through, and made the reservation last minute which was convenient. Room was nice, and a comfortable bed.

Room's a bit small for 3 people, too small if you want/need to eat in your room. There's no real place to comfortably sit outside and no common area. ACs are very loud, neighbours had it running all night. A bit overpriced in my opinion, but that seems par for the course in Golden.

Extremely expensive for what it is... You are paying for the location (Golden) and the dates (Summer). Don't expect much more than a basic room despite the high price.
