The only comment....maybe the air conditioning could have been going before we arrived....but once we figured it out....it cooled the room down and all was good.

Communication was great. Breakfast coupons were appreciated for both mornings and we enjoyed each. Location was perfect for walking around Picton. Appreciated the bottle water in the fridge. Sitting around the pool was nice too.

We received 12 email reminders of our stay. This is way too much and got annoying. Also we found the instructions very lengthy and not clear (yet the combination number to enter is very easy). Surprisingly, our instructions also included those for the cleaners. Over a week before arrival we asked for an early check-in and it took a number of emails and calls before before we could get an answer, but thankfully the day before we received a positive response to accommodate us.

The breakfast was delicious: we both had eggs and coffee (we received a coupon for a specific restaurant nearby). However, the restaurant was full so we had to wait half an hour. Also, the coupon did not cover the entire cost (no big deal, just $10 extra). But waiting time to eat and extra expenses were not expected for a B&B. The bed was very comfortable and the room had beautiful paintings. We didn't get a chance to try the pool, which looked very inviting. We never saw the owners.

The two breakfast coupons were lovely - except we couldn't get into the Picton Harbour Inn as the wait was over 30 minutes (we had a wedding things to prep that day), but the crepe place was very good. Sunday we still couldn't use the Picton Harbour Inn breakfast coupon, as the wait time was long again (it must be good) but we wanted to get on the road for our 6 hour drive home. We also weren't able to use the winery coupons - but if we come back, we will definitely make time for that. The building was very quaint and lovely and we loved the writeup of the history of the building included in the room.

Red room faced a relatively busy road and a little noisy at times but with the ac on didn’t disturb us at night and slept well.

Lovely old restored house. Very friendly and informative reception. Aura told us about the beautiful walking trails just across the road which we loved. Also good information about the eateries. Vouchers for breakfast is an excellent idea.

The pool wasn't accessible from inside the house. You had to walk out the front door around the outside to the back to get to the pool. Not a really big deal. Just a comment.

Our bathroom was in the hall. Private but not in the room and it wasn't specified when we made reservation. Fine but a bit inconvenient. To go to the pool you need to go out of the house around the corner. Inconvenient if you are in a bathing suit and carrying beverages/food. Pool is cold. Flatscreen tv advertised is actually tiny (maybe 14 in).

It was easy to get there, it's well located (except a hill to go to main strip). Main street about a 10min walk. Vouchers for breakfast are generous amounts. Breakfast nook is available. It is clean.

The gate to access the backyard is hard to open if you’re short

Nice location, close to downtown we were able to walk from there. The breakfast vouchers were well used at 2 excellent restaurants and covered the total breakfast bill. The backyard is beautiful ! The beds were very comfortable.

The sink in the bathroom had two distinct faucets, old way, one for hot water and one for cold. We could not use the hot water as it was too hot and we burned our hands when we first used it. So we had to wash with cold water. We recommend the hosts to install one faucet that can mix the hot and cold water before more people get burns. It's a liability as it is now. Not sure why the hosts don't take care of this. We haven't seen a place like this anywhere we traveled in North America or Europe.

Property had a pool which we enjoyed. Location was close to the city center. Overall, it was a comfortable stay, although the room was very small and the only window was all obscured by the air conditioning and could not open.

No coffee or tea in the morning.

The coffee maker wasn't working. The lighting in the room was not enough for reading and we do a lot of reading. It needed an over head light or a standing lamp. We were unhappy not to meet our hosts. Most B and B like people and are interested in meeting them. She was friendly from her emails.
