Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaEverything. Great stay. Quiet, authentic place. Michel has done a great job building this place, which is full of charm and naturalness. Michel is a very simple and natural host who welcomed us and shared good times around the fire. My family really enjoyed their stay in the rustic cabin (5 people). Thanks again Michel. My aunt (the rustic one ;)) will think about your proposal to come and work this winter ;) ahah if she ever comes back. The boat trip to see the beavers was very pleasant. Nous avons passer un bon moment. It was overall a very nice stay. Would love to come back again. I recommend 100%

FranceNothing. Not enough time we got to spend there.
It was a lovely stay in nature ! Michel was able to guide us for nice hikes, he also offered us to go kayaking departing from his terrain. The boat ride to see the beavers was lovely - he really has an eye to see them. The housing was very nice. We did one evening in a tipi and one evening in the 'le trappeur' chalet. The tipi is lovely, you can get away from the city - no electricity, just the noise of the stream and a camp fire. The chalet is also very nice - electricity inside and hot plates to cook. You still feel in the woods. It was overall a very nice stay. Would love to come back again.

FranceDespite Michel's efforts to enforce speed limits, the site is beside a road used frequently by trucks. Even so, we slept fantastically well in our little chalet!
We had a great stay here. The chalet was comfy and the whole camp is decorated really well. Michel is an exceptional host. He makes every effort for the guests to have a good time. Around the campfire and the communal outside kitchen there is a friendly atmosphere. The trip to see the castors was great fun as was the hiking area suggested by Michel. We will recommend this stop to friends very highly. It was the experience we wanted from Quebec.

ItalyThe experience in this place has been incredible! The place is very authentic, everything is made by Michel and the whole place reflects his passion for this wonderful territory. It is not a hotel or a resort, so you need to be prepared to share facilities and spaces... and that's one of the things that people will appreciate here. The shared spaces are in the open, and they have all the necessary for cooking and storing your food. The bathroom is a beautiful little cabin made in wood, but it has hot water and a shower. The place is super clean and Michel keeps everything stocked and replaced. Food is cooked on the fire in the Tipi where you sit around the fire with other guests, but you have access to a electric cattle, camping stove, pans and plates and glasses. Our room was the Cabane: it is a few minutes walk into the woods from the "camp" and it has no electricity, but they provide a torch.. One of the best night sleep i had, no lights or noise except the wood and rain (and an occasional car on the closeby road)! The room is alsp equipped to cook and clean for longer stays. Extra points for the amzaing boat trip to see beavers offered by Michel on his boat: incredible experience!!

NetherlandsUnusual and eclectic site. Camaraderie with everyone staying. Lovely evening around the campfire. Possible to cook over the fire. If you’re lucky Michel can take you on the boat to search for beavers. We saw several! Very clean facilities and accommodation. The sunset over the river was amazing. Chickens and rabbits roaming free.

GermanyMichel is the perfect host: always ready to help out and organize activities and with a deep knowledge of the region (his recommendations were always spot on). The sunset boat ride looking for beavers among the marshes and islands was definitely a highlight, as was the Québecois music evening around the grill teepee. The taste is eclectic and well sorted, which makes the Hébergement beautiful. Definitely worth staying more than one night to profit from all that the place offers. Please keep in mind that Québec is rather French-speaking: some knowledge of the language will get you much further.

United StatesThis is one of those places that restore your faith in humanity. Michel is the most friendly host, he makes you feel welcomed and at home immediately. He took us on a beaver exploration boat tour + night stargazing boat tour all for free and the passion and love for the environment he calls home is so evident! Be ready to leave all your worries on the doorstep and be immersed in a community of friendly people sharing spaces and stories. Also, it’s so clean and has everything you might need. Dinner bbq around the fireplace was a plus :) Would 100% recommend.

IsraelActually, we didn't find something that we didnt like. but it can better if Michael can learn basic English in order to talk with people that don't talk French.
I searched on the internet for a remarkable experience in Quebec. I Don't Remember exactly how but I found this place. We were happy to discover that we are the first Israelis there. The place is amazing! Michael is the best host that we ever met. Absolutely the best money that we paid on our trip. we feel at home and it was an experience that we won't forget ever! ItalyAll was great
This place is the best you can choose if you're travelling around Quebec and want to live the real authentic experience in contact with nature. We slept 2 nights in the Tipi which is 5 min walking up the hill. Michel was great, he gave us tips on what to do and accompanied us up the hill to our private tipi every evening with the Quad. There's a lot you can do around, from hiking to kayaking - Michel has some kayaks you can use for free, and he also gives suggestions on the tours to do and how to get back to the base using the currents of the river :D. If you stay 2 days or more, a boat tour to see the beavers is included! And most of all, if you're lucky enough you won't see only beavers - we saw our first moose in one week of travelling around, right here! The place is very clean, and you have everything you need around the campsite - cooking on the fire was one of our favourite moments in the evening.

CanadaI was satisfied with our experience however I like to mention the issues that can affect decisions for those who are uncertain of what they will encounter: Because of winter, the shower was dysfunctional and we were informed by the manager, but for a 1-night stay, it didn't matter. Regarding the toilet, the flush didn't work and you needed to use the bucket of water (from melted snow or river!) for that. I think it was a temporary situation because of winter. To make the yurt warm, you should feed the fire every 1-2 hours at night if you travel in the cold season. It wasn't a big deal for us, as we wanted to experience living in natural accommodation and that's a part of it. The limited water supply (provided by a container) for washing dishes and drinking was a little bit tricky if that matters to you. In the end, I emphasize that all of these issues are part of such stay and didn't bother us, but if you are a conservative person, you need to know that.
We really enjoyed our time there. Lots of eye-catching details made by natural elements made it unique. We stayed in the yurt and it was so beautiful and cozy with enough space for 5 people with utensils provided and a portable stove to cook besides the barbeque outside. Our trip was at the beginning of April and everywhere was covered by snow. Heating was provided by burning woods and made the yurt warm enough. You should be careful to follow the instruction that Michel gives you about the amount of wood you burn otherwise inside will be a sauna! The night sky was full of stars and a good opportunity to enjoy! I loved the chairs made of wood around the barbeque, it was really an act of art. There is a river in front that connects there to the Mastigouche Wildlife Reserve which in the warm season gives you the opportunity to relax on the deck or kayaking and watch moose and beavers. Despite the language barrier for communication, Michel gives us some info about the location and provided everything we needed; he is a gem who brought much art and life to the stay. The yurt was so clean. I will come back there again!
