Cozy and super clean hostel. We had a private room and the beds were so comfortable. Great kitchen space and loved the big living room with wood burning fireplace.

Beds are a bit short for tall people, I (188cm) could not stretch my legs completely.

Wonderful location within unspoiled wilderness Well maintained hostel with clean and modern bathrooms, very spacious and generous public spaces and very friendly and helpful staff. Internet connection available during some hours in the evening (special service in very remote location) I have donated my bear spray to reception. It is absolutely recommended to carry it with you when hiking during bear season. Bring your own. If you travel by plane ask at reception to borrow my one, or buy it at the visitor information.

Not enough signage on the road to easily find the place. Good initially, but the last turn was not marked. Drove right by it looking for a sign.

It was clean and well equipped. The hostess was very friendly, there was quite a bit of information available regarding the surrounding area and the location was great.

It was a very cozy atmosphere in the hostel and we met new friends there. The host was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for hikes in Kananaskis Provincial park.

The effort made in setting up the location for maximum comfort was exceptional and Anita went out of her way to help when she could.

Cozy & Homie. The host was very welcoming & accomodating. She was also understanding coz I added 2 more guests with us and just charge us very cheap ☺️ I also love the kitchen & dining area where you can borrow and use tools for cooking and condiments.

Nothing really. We had a private room and I preferred this over most hotels during our canada trip.

The Kananaskis Wilderness Hostel was the perfect hostel experience for us. The hostess was extremely friendly and went out of her way to explain a lot about the area and she accommodated an evening campfire. The hostel itself was very clean. The showers and bathrooms were clean and properly equipped. The beds were comfortable enough and linnen and towels were available. The area around Kananaskis hostel was quite beautiful with great hikes, lakes and waterfalls.

As it is a common room you can hear the other guests, but this is normal in a hostel. Depending on your plans for the area, consider the location of the site to see if it suits you or not.

The best hostel I have ever stayed in. Very well equipped kitchen, big fridge, shower and toilets clean. Everything neat and tidy. I would repeat. Excellent value for money.

There was nothing that We dint like!!

It was well maintained. We had no hazzle or issues with anything. There were clear instructions which made sense and easy to follow like the quiet time, better usage of water and resources at the hostel. Staff and other hostellers were friendly too.

excellent location for our 2 day hiking trip. Well laid out facility with a well equipped kitchen, and with towels and bedding. It was great to meet many international travelers especially while sitting around the firepit. Anita was wonderful and helpful with suggestions for local hikes.

Perfect stay

We had a great stay. Great value for the cost, comfortable beds, very clean, and quiet environment with nice kitchen for preparing meals. Easy to reach and close enough that we were able to get to the trailhead in Canmore nice and early. The manager Nancy was very helpful and friendly. The bonus is a large communal firepit for starry nights.

Anita is the wonderful host. She advised us a lot about particular trails and routes in the mountains we can follow and reach. The great atmosfhere in the hostel. The rooms and clean and well equipped. I strongly recommend this place
