Great location and the on site restaurant was very nice. Front desk staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable bed. We had a private room.

I hadn’t realised that ‘private bathroom’ didn’t include the shower. This is outside the room . Not a huge problem but obviously you need to ‘cover up’ on the way back.

Good location. Very friendly helpful staff. A big well equipped kitchen with big tables for eating. Useful onsite laundry at $4 a load for washing , another $4 for drying. Smallish room with nowhere to store clothes but that’s ok- it’s a hostel .

I wish there were hangers as I wanted to dry my clothes.

No body else was using the room next door so I could use the bathroom all by myself. Also, the staff was very nice, room was comfortable and they have sauna for free of charge!!! Great for winter.

My only complaint: Very poor signage to the office/entrance!!! The only (small) sign to indicate the entrance to the building is hidden from the car park - up some stairs between 2 buildings, and behind a railing that blocks it out as you approach, and struggle with your luggage. One arrives at the only visible door (to the cafe) which has an "Exit only. Entrance on other side of building" sign - well, there are 4 sides to a building and "other side " usually means opposite side: nope! Not there. Trudged around for quite some time with our luggage, back and forth looking for this elusive door. Puh-lease! Put up more signs and/or a map to the office entrance at the carpark. No discount for HI members

One night stay prior to going into Skoki Lodge. Check-in was quick and easy. Close to Lake Louise mall for last minute food and sundries. Peyto cafe onsite was really handy with great food at reasonable prices - house salad was fresh and crisp, chilli was hearty. Communal kitchen in basement was bright and well-equipped, with 3 big fridges and bins to label and put your food in. Easy check-out; storage facility for luggage in basement area, with locks available to buy ($8) onsite.

It was not very clear from the room description that the "ensuite" is not actually an ensuite. it is a toilet and sink. you need to leave the room to shower so just be aware of that when you book.

The communal rooms are great and friendly. The kitchen facilities and restaurant really good.

You can hear all the noises from outside the room. There were kids running around and you can hear all their stomping and giggling, even on top of our unit.

Absolutely no soundproofing, impossible to get any sleep. Rooms claiming to have a private bathroom have a toilet and sink only, misrepresenting reality

Communication from Booking site regarding the difference in price from renting a room for 1 person versus a dorm. Unexpected charges. I was not aware through communication that i was required to give 24 hour notice of early checkout prior to a family emergency (phone call that morning)

Excellent hostel accom in a perfect location to experience Lake Louise. The facilities are simple but nice, everything is clean, orderly and well organised. There is a good cafe on site, or a self serve kitchen. Staff are very helpful and friendly, there is a tonne of info available on hikes and activites. There is a very pleasant 40 minute walk through the forest to get to the lake, and then a number of top day hike options once you get there. I did the Trail of the Glacier and the Little Beehive, they were both spectacular. Some of the best day hiking I have ever done. Great stay and place to visit, loved it.

The doors are too loud opening and closing them. And since everything is made of wood one bang of the door even when it’s from the next door it’s shakes the room next door too.

I was staying in the annex cabin and the design is much more like a cottage than a hostel complex and I really love it!
