the communal area is gorgeous, I would love to come back in winter to see how beautiful it looks! the room was spacious and comfortable, the hostel is located within a short distance to the shops

Room was a bit cramped and the train passes quite close, so sleeping with the window open is not advisable.

Very friendly staff and very good restaurant on location. Bus stop for the Bus to Lake Louise directly in front of the door and plenty of parking spaces. Large lounging area and quick Wifi.

The property is located on the edge of town and quiet at night. Perfectly suited to a relaxing getaway. The communal kitchen with fridge and freezer are fantastic, and there are heaps of new friends to be made! The train line is nearby but it isn’t a real problem at the train usually travels quite slowly and the locomotives pass reasonably quickly. This minor drawback is more than compensated by the many other advantages!

I was in a 4 bed mixed doom, and they were quite small. Wasn't expecting to have to climb a fairly steep ladder to get to the loft where my bed was, with a fair bit of stuff I definitely did heaps of trips, but I suppose they are working with the design of the building which has a very high pitched roof. But I can't remember seeing it in the photos.

Great location in Lake Louise, it's a pretty small town but good location, the hostel itself was very clean, the common room above reception was really cool, only went up and had a look but really cool vibe, it was late at night and only a couple of people were there, would have been a really cool place to hang out if there was more people, wasn't a worry though. Both kitchen were spacious and fairly clean when I arrived. Bed and pillow was very comfy too.

the automated bathroom light stays on for too long in the rooms that have a WC and basin included. 1-2min is enough, 5 min is too long, especially during the night.

good value in an expensive area, helpful staff, excellent kitchen facilities, equally excellent common room with a log fire.

My group were in seperate rooms.. And also seperate building. They could've put us all in the same dorm or same building.

Everything was good. It is as described. The bunkbeds are comfortable. The kitchen is spacious. There's alot of space to hang out.

The blankets were pure plastic, very static and shot electric lightnings. We decided to sleep without them in the end.

Very friendly staff, good location for day trips in the area Lake Louise / Yoho National Park. Bill Peyto Café adjacent was very handy, the staff there exceptionally friendly and food was more than okay.

Anytime we stay in that room (original building, second floor, last room on the right as you go up the stairs from main reception) we bring our own camping mats and sleep on the floor. The mattress in that room is decades old (we have been going to HI LLouise for over 30 years so we know the room). LLouise staff: Try the mattress for yourself, then go to the room next door (the one you share a washroom with). The twin beds in that room have new mattresses .. what a difference!

Cross-country skiing was great -- nice trackset trails :)

Their beds were not mattresses, they are just sponges The room was not clean, there were some leftover stuff from previous guest in the room. Also lots of dust and hairs were on the floor
