How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The extra parking fee over and above the room fee
I was surprised with the parking charge that was not on the booking. Otherwise, the room was lovely and a good size.

The only issue I had with this hotel was that parking isn't included in your stay. I don't think you should have to pay for parking when you're staying at the hotel, it should be included. This would have deterred me from booking if I would have known.
The room was clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very comfortable and modern as well. The hotel wasn't noisy at any time of the day, which was nice. The pool was very clean and beautiful, loved the added touch of the lights and upbeat music.

Parking was an issue the lot was full most of time No room for guests Could use better quality of toilet paper 1 ply doesn’t cut it We did ask for batteries for remote it took a couple of days to get them

Kids playing hockey in the hallway but thankfully it wasn’t our my floor, it seemed like the hotel kept the kids on their own floor.

Only negative, noisey AC / heating unit in room. Luckily we never had o use it through the night.
Nice, clean, modern hotel, short walking distance to the downtown area. Staff very friendly.

Pool wasn't working and we there was nothing posted online about it
Devon on the front desk was an absolute angel. I believe that was his name. He worked through the storm and was super accommodating :)

The location of our hotel room didn’t allow for a lot of light m, some extra lights in those rooms would be really great!
Really great staff. Super accommodating and overall a good atmosphere. The girls in the restaurant are so sweet!

The pool was closed for the majority of our stay. Travelled with two children and I only book hotels with pools for their entertainment.

Shouldn't be charged 15 dollars a night to park, you pay enough for your room, you should have a free place to park, this is just a cash grab knowing people have no choice but to park there. Do better.

I booked a room with free breakfast. When I went to have my breakfast they wanted to charge me, saying that I’m supposed to have some vouchers from the reception if I have free breakfast. I went and get the vouchers and came back to the restaurant. It wasn’t a big deal, but I would have appreciated if they would anticipate this, and give me the vouchers at my check in time. Also, I booked this hotel as they were advertising access to pool, but on the first 2 days of my stay, the pool was unavailable, and I didn’t get any compensation for that, even though I asked the receptionist. She was nice, but didn’t compensate this inconvenience in any way.

There was blood stained on my comforter, when mentioned to the front desk I was told that since I didn’t book with the hotel directly there was nothing they could do. They also tried to change my room, but fixed it thankfully and got me the room I wanted, my rate was supposed to be 218 everything included but I was charged 238, also had to pay for parking in order to leave the parking lot as I had already turned in my room key. Another issue was that I had a guest come to visit me and there were absolutely no parking places available for them to park in.
The staff at the restaurant were amazing and welcoming, really enjoyed their company. Room was comfortable.
