The Service of the Employees was not as good as we expected for such a hotel (f.e. the Breakfast buffet is split up into different room, coffee and hot water were offen out).

The room in 'the cottage' was very ordinary, and the TV was pretty useless. The display was all wrong (stretched).

Room and bath were fairly unremarkable which, though perfectly comfortable, were a little disappointing relative to the rest of the bed and breakfast itself. The art above the bed looked a bit like it was purchased in bulk from generichotelart.com. Large bathroom but limited space to place any thing. All relatively minor things, but makes it such that we cannot give it a 10/10.

Beautiful bed and breakfast in a beautiful part of Kingston. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area is lovely as well. Good value relative to some of the surrounding accommodations.

Our room was so tiny, the wind was coming through the window and howling, no view. The TV was very small, with not many channels.

Beautiful historic home, great location 👌 so nice that they acknowledged my 64th birthday with a little bottle of sparkling wine and brownies. Very nice breakfast!

Charming historic building, with excellent service. Comfortable beds and breakfast was provided. The room and bathroom were clean, with everything we needed for an overnight stop. They are compact in size, and as an older building, you can hear the movement of other guests. It wasn't a problem for us, to be expected. We would stay there again!

The staff was friendly when conducting business. However, having just left Montreal where hospitality staff were super friendly, we saw this place as rather cold. For example, when we were leaving, a "good-bye" or "I hope you enjoyed your visit" - some kind of acknowledgement was in order. I suggest that your staff wear name badges, at least those who come in contact with the public.The dining room was sterile and bare- flowers would have been nice.

Breakfast. The tray of meat was in front of other items causing people to stand over it. This seems unsanitary to me. I would not touch the meat and cheese. There was not much dry cereal. We had to ask for a bowl for cereal. There was sufficient variety. Croissant and yogurt were excellent. There should be a sign directing us to the coffee station in the hall and instructions as to how to clean up, if required.

We left a request with staff that there be a grab bar installed in the shower for us old folks. Probably should look at accessibility for the future as well - install a ramp or two.

The breakfast was great on the first day I was there, but it did not seem fresh anymore after a couple days. I would have liked to have more variety. Also the room was very cold and the space heater did not do much to help.

Overall, everything was good!

The hotel is an old, typical for the region building, and this is what impressed us most - it was also decorated for Christmas, which even made a better impression. The staircases, the lounge, everything preserves a magical vibe. The stuff was helpful, the room was cozy, clean, though a bit shabby. But taking into account the vibe, and the price - it’s ok.

The rooms are quite small, not much space to leave clothes, some noise from floorboards etc. need to be accepted. At breakfast time the staff didn't make it to refill the buffet and serve special requests (fried eggs etc.) at the same time.

Nice old villa in a quiet location, garden seats available. Free coffee all day.
