How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Cannot complain about anything.
Breakfast was excellent. Lots to chose from and taste was good. The airport shuttle staff was fast, courteous and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable.

Nothing to dislike.
Very beautiful hotel, new and clean, rooms were big, bathroom and shower were big, bed was comfy, elevator felt safe, staff was super nice, so close to the airport and free airport shuttle with a driver who was also the nicest guy, grab and go breakfast was available even when I had to leave super early.

The mattress on the sofa bed was not very comfortable. I never asked but maybe if there was an extra foam thing to go on top. Would be better. The queen beds were soo comfy!

Not enough tables and chairs for people to eat. Not enough breakfast choices. No one to assist, especially with people who have special needs. I didn't like the fact that when I went to get the ice bucket, it wasn't there, and I was told I had to go to the front desk to get one.
Breakfast was okay. Could be more choices. When I went to get my food, the food container was empty and I had to find someone to fill it. Also ran out of yogurt choice. Definitely not enough seating. My husband is unable to stand for long, and I think that people could see that and one very kind couple offered us their table. I thought they were finished and leaving, but I noticed later they were sat elsewhere. I do think they waited for another table to free up. How very kind. These are things the hotel need to think about and fix it. The hotel was full, and there were no tables for many to sit and they had to wait standing.

We booked because we had a very early flight. it’s convenient and close to the airport and a shuttle service. Also a restaurant The Rock was next door for a late night meal. I like that there was a small snack store open early and late, coffee and hot water available at any time. We had to leave before breakfast service, but that wasn’t a problem-there service starts at 0600 which probably suits most guests. It would be too far from downtown to stay, but for early flight out, or a late flight in-perfect location!

I had tried the omelette and the hash browns; however, could not eat much of it as they were a bit rubbery & dried up. However, I had no issues finding something to eat as they had a varied choice of other foods (as I noted above in the 'What did you like' question).
Shuttle bus pick-up was quick. Hotel is conveniently close to the airport. Nice room, very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good - there was a nice selection of bread, bagels and muffins as well as cereals. There was a good choice of fresh fruits and yoghurts. As only there for one night, did not have the opportunity to use the facilities (i.e. gym, etc.).

The Rock steakhouse is an adjoined business. It was over- priced, and my meal was poor. The true convenience was the location.
The room was spacious and clean. The free airport shuttle was a major convenience. The service was truly friendly. Check- in was swift and simple. The perk of choosing a major business chain is that you know what to expect - a similar level of service at each branch.

Didn’t like the fawcet in bathroom sink. set back too far on counter so hard to brush teeth or run water to wash up as hard not to make a mess when running water. Should’ve been moved in closer to sink! Dirty spot on carpet looked like blood or something like it!
