Only thing I wasn’t a fan of is the TV options. I feel like there should be an option for renting a movie. While I attended a wake my son and boyfriend stayed back at the hotel and did not find too much in the room to do. I feel that would be a great option to provide to the guests.

I usually stay in an air bnb in Pictou, however we couldn’t get into one back on April 24th so we decided to stay at the Holiday inn express. I actually really enjoyed my stay, we were so amazed by the options you had for breakfast(gluten free). The staff was so friendly and welcoming. The cleanliness of this hotel was great. I loved how there is a pool for my son to enjoy as well. So when my grandmother passed I decided to rebook again with this hotel May the 7th. I was yet again impressed by this hotel and will be returning each time I go to visit my family.

Staff was exceptional. they went out of the way to find me details about additional things i wanted to do in Pictou. every one was very friendly. I am not mentioning the few names i remember as It would undermine the rest of the staff who also mde my stay the best one

The facility is in the midst of a renovation, so everyone is doing the best they can, but the main floor is in a disrupted state. Also the rooms are in need of a renovation. Lots of wear and tear.

Overpriced due to an event being held at the Wellness Centre. Our room was shabby, tired, and cheaply furnished. One TV was not functioning properly. The room was not cleaned on the second day.

Good location. Close to the hospital where we were visiting a family member. Restaurants and other services nearby.

Booking.com screwed up our reservation. We arrived to find that it was cancelled. Please explain this. We were fortunate to be rescued by the very helpful front desk staff, who managed to find us a room. They were very clear that the reservation cancellation was done by Booking.com, not IHG.

Convenient location close to the highway makes for a good overnight stop when traveling between Cape Breton Island and the Annapolis Valley.

Didn't like: that our mini fridge wasn't working ... full of water and was not cold, lost another of our cold food items due to this.. had a family suite with a small room off the main room- TV in small room did not work, the bed was not good, and literally couldn't even breathe without it squeaking and making noises, was a really horrible sleep, it was comfortable just so annoying with the bed making so much noise. Shower curtain SUCKED! Glad I wasn't the house keepers here - slanted curtain rods so the curtain clusters in the center making it impossible to keep the curtain closed resulting in no way to keep the water off the floor-horrible design-and although the bathing products were dove and very nice products - was not a pleasant experience trying to bathe multiple family members without making a horrible mess...

The staff here were amazing! Very nice and helpful! Breakfast was delicious! Really enjoyed, and the breakfast staff was amazing. Went with the family and we all had an over all good time but there was a few things we should of mentioned wrong with the room.
