Could not get supper on day of arrival as, at 4, the restaurant became a bar and served drinks only. Tried to order food just after 3 and was told it was too late. The decor was slightly worn, however they were in the process of redecorating.

Breakfast was excellent. We were given a room as soon as we arrived, though we were several hours early. Very grateful as we were exhausted from our travel. All staff we had contact with were very courteous and helpful.

The stairs obviously (not a problem if you light luggage or are young and fit. No sign in the lift to tell you what was on what floor. Although there were about four lamps in the room I found the lightning wasn't great for me at my age.

Upon arrival we were really tired. I was not happy to find we were on the 2nd floor, our friends on the 3rd floor and the others on the 6th floor. However we accepted it, but then we went to leave the lift and found about ten stairs we had to get down with our heavy luggage. Good news is after contacting the front desk they were able to transfer us to another room with no stairs and on the 4th floor and the staff member who came to give us our new access card helped us with the luggage. The bed was large and very comfortable with us falling asleep quickly each night.

Our coffee maker in our room was broken. It was my birthday and didn't want to have to track down a coffee pot. I went down and asked they said they will bring one in about 15 minutes. That never happened for the rest of stay unfortunately. However the staff were very accommodating and friendly

The AC was not great as the temperature kept adjusting itself from very cool to very warm. Also, we couldn't adjust the fan speed so were stuck with wind blowing on high.

There was a crack den opposite, which was the view from our window, and the walls are so thin I could hear next door all night, smoking seemed to be allowed on balcony areas and so could smell that in our room A real shame as the actual room was really nice, sound proofing is needed to allow a good night sleep.

The room itself was huge, clean and comfy. Everything we needed. Staff very welcoming and easy parking.

We were put in a room right across from the elevator which was quite noisy with foot traffic all day and night. We had a little one with us and the noise kept waking him up. When asked if we could change rooms we were told we couldn't. Also - this is more an FYI for travelers - Granville in this area has gotten quite bad. I used to live in Vancouver and still visit often; Granville used to be quite nice to walk down but not so much anymore. I would have no issues walking alone, but with my wife and baby it was an uncomfortable walk with all the drug use, run down buildings, and aggressive street people. We chose to avoid it when we could.

Location was good - right in downtown around the corner from Granville. Short walk to Rogers Arena , Robson, and Gastown. The hotel was very clean and the lobby/bar/restaurant area is very nice. Room was much larger than expected and the bedding was comfortable. Check-in was easy, and there is a lot of parking on site (although you do have to pay for it).

A microwave in a room or in a common area with an ice machine would be helpful. Creamer sachets for coffee and sugar sachets should not be bundled in a single packet, any unused item should not be wasted.

We experienced Bad attitude from one staff mainly in the Restaurant she is Chinese or Filipino background, I think she needs to learn how to treat customer services fairly and nicely and with respect no one there coming to beg her. We also experienced an excellent services and so nice character from the staff called Jenifer at the hotel desk She is really an awesome.

The location was great, close to all facilities you look for at the heart of the city, The break fast was good, but daily the menus are the same , my children liked the swimming pool so much .

The pool was too far and not easy to find. It was located on corner of the hotel. There’s no hot tub or team bath. The room has no microwave to use it.
