How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

What's not to like...the Welcoming & helpful staff: décor & cleanliness of the entire building: ease of access; value for money: fabulous fireside outside at night, ...I could go on and on.!

Very little. The access road needed repairing at the entrance, but it was still passable.
The location, next to Lac Moore, is beautiful

The bathrooms on my floor (second and main floor) were very small. I am a small girl (110 pounds and 5 feet) and I was cramped in the bathroom I can’t imagine someone that is taller or heavier than average. Also to go into the hostel there is a slope and it’s incredibly scary going down that with a car! My passenger literally held on to the side door and prayed because there is a huge hole and the descent is so steep. But those are minor complaints!
I loved everything! The staff was so amazing and sweet! The place was also really clean and modern. The kitchen had everything you can think of. The price is also unbeatable!

The place was just beautiful ! Super clean washrooms (coming from someone who is wary of using shared washrooms) and the staff is just the sweetest !! Comes with a Very cute little bar with various local liquors and beer and we also spotted 3 deers near the property.

The rooms are super basic. No bed side tables, nowhere to put belongings, no closet or hangers, that sort of thing. The bathrooms are a tight squeeze....especially if there are more than a couple of people in there. Driveway and parking lot are perilous/a bit tricky, with an enormous pot hole in the driveway and a big drop beside the parking lot of the main building. In other words, be careful not to back your car over the edge!
The staff were fantastic. Great location and clean, new amenities. Large eating area with fridges, coffee in the morning, and a huge shared kitchen.

Nothing I Loved Everything
Everything this is the second time my husband and I come to the auberge , Everyone is super friendly , very clean, Location is EVERYTHING! you are in the middle of both villages ( the smaller village you can walk to it ) as well as the bigger village with the lifts and activities which takes 6 minutes by car . Kitchen their is no cook but you can bring whatever food you want , cook it yourself and eat. As well their is a fridge to store your things. There is also a beautiful lake you can swim , ( rent a paddle board, a pedal boat , canoe as well as it comes with the ram and life jacket , you have to rent it at the front desk it's 18$ ).

Great little bar with good beers, pool table and bar football. Could also rent cheap katakana, paddle boatds,etc.

There was no AC. No proper air circulation.
Good location. God experience. Staff was friendly. Clean rooms, kitchen and washroom. 6 minutes drive from resort. Enjoy trip with family. Recommended to others.

Spotless bathrooms, and very clean facility even if the sleeping room had a musty smell. A little stuffy from the heat. Needed to be aired out. I was pleasantly surprised with the location and staff were excellent. Friendly and very helpful.

The family room was spacious but has no ventilation but one small window, for a room that fits 6 people, it was almost impossible to breathe overnight
The location of the property is excellent, it’s overlooking a lake and you can rent canoes/kayakes from the Hostel. The staff is super friendly.

We only had a miniature fan and it was 35 degrees outside. It was extremely hot in the room. A larger fan or AC would have been appreciated.
