How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Communication from the hotel to the center is not easy at first without a car and the hotel serrvice ; it does not have a tourist assistance profile : maps, activities, etc ...... Although if you ask they help you.
it´s a familiar hotel. The stay becomes confortable and easy . Breakfast es simple and enought. Perfect room and beds.

Hotel is outdated but room is large and comfy to stay. Once you enter the hotel, you can smell the old scent of it. Lobby must atleast get renovated😁.
Location and close to the biggest mall of Calgary - Chinook Center. Hotel is close to Asian Restaurants like Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai restos. Had extended our stay since flight got delayed. Requested for another night stay, they handled it quite fast & easy.

The front entrance doors had a mechanical issue and we had to use the back entrance but the staff were very quick to address the issue and get it fixed.
The room was very nice and clean and the bed was great . The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay over Christmas.

one night stay which was prepaid and then they put double the price on my card for a deposit. which is now still on there. I understand a deposit but I’ve never had to pay such a high one before, even at higher quality hotels. I am hoping it’s not because we had two small children with us. we left the room spotless with minimal effort needed to prepare it for the next guest. I will not be staying again.

Staff was very short with us and didn’t make us feel very welcome. Locations is a bit off with very limited options for groceries nearby. Very strong scent of chlorine from the pool throughout the ground floor.
Ample parking, good breakfast, decent price.

Not everyone is a coffee drinker, no regular tea bags in the room or breakfast room so had to buy one at Tim's. The reception from the front desk staff was far from friendly, and he spoke so fast that we couldn't understand him. Couldn't even manage a smile. $150.00 damage deposit is quite steep, especially as I've booked with booking.com on quite a number of occassions. Also I have to wait 3 to 5 days before I get my deposit back!

The wasn’t any liquid body wash in the room, but I also didn’t ask for any and just used the bar soap that was provided. That’s just a matter of preference though.

nothing really. you get what you pay for so as it was cheap hotel the facilities were basic but entirely decent
a basic hotel that did everything to a decent standard. Location was quite far out of Calgary Downtown but hotel was clean and pleasant and would recommend this.

One elevator wasn't working and one in service was being worked on a couple times throughout the stay making wait times longer. The door opening was quite loud and I could hear it through the floor quite easily. Beds were a bit on the softer side for my liking but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Easy check in, and ease of access to the building. Fair amount of parking. But tight if you have a bigger vehicle but lots of parking on the street as well if needed. Complimentary breakfast was fully stocked with a fair amount of options. The pool is smaller but the slide makes up for it, the kids loved it.

The elevators are sketchy and sound like they are struggling. Also wish the pool hours were longer, opened at 9am and closed at 9pm.
Rooms were nice and clean. Good breakfast that was stocked the entire time.
