Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe concierge named Rudy was ignorant and overwhelmed. Really no clue what he is doing there. We even heard him telling people there were no rooms available and then gentleman resolving our issue "emmy", is telling us they have other rooms and will attempt correcting the issue. This place struggles to simply fix a tv, let alone anything else. Very,very poor place. Sorry I didn't know I was going to review otherwise I would have taken photos
Absolutely nothing really except the 1 lead gentleman attempting to make things right. The concierge told us to give our key card back because fixing the tv was too overwhelming for him. Maybe because there were numourous complaints.being brought forward. This not working, this not working, this room is missing this... Pretty terrible hotel/motel really especially for what you pay. Howard Johnson should be embarrassed to have their name affiliated. Ill try another Howard maybe in the future but it won't be a first or second choice.

CanadaSeemed like the motel was also being used as accommodations for welfare and homeless clients, lot of smokers which was evident in the rooms.
Restaurant food was fabulous, great Indian and Hakka Chinese menu options.

CanadaOverall the room was stinking with Cigarette smell to the point we were thinking of relocating to some other place. Could be faulty ducts spreading Cigarette smells to other rooms from smoking rooms. The AC/Heater was too loud. Additionally, in-room Jacuzzi water pipes going above and below units made so much noise when someone used their jacuzzi in the middle of the night. We had to get up and check if any pipes were broken and if the room was flooding. Paying for parking $10 additional didn't seem that fair when there is no gated entrance. The exhaust in the bathroom did not work.
We liked the friendliness of the staff and helpful tips to get around Niagara and cross the US border. The breakfast was all good but any more savoury options would have been great. The bed was good. TV was working well. The heater was good too. Overall decent stay for one night if you don't have any high expectations and want to just stay the night and move on.

CanadaWhat could be better: my wife didn't like the mattress being too soft so we only stayed the one night. A complimentary fridge and microwave in the room would have been nice but none. The hotel had a sign behind the front desk advising that guest parking their car was $10 extra per night but I didn't see this statement on the website.
I liked the friendliness of the day and afternoon staff and the help they provided during my stay. Room was clean. The breakfast was satisfactory. The location of the hotel was good for our needs during my daughter's basketball tournament. Price was acceptable for what you get here.
