How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The AC is loud. We are here early summer so it’s still fine not to use AC at night. Summer might be tough to sleep cuz you need the AC on overnight.
Quiet, perfect location, 3 mins walk to downtown, 10 mins drive to arrowhead provincial park. Mins walk to grocery stores, restaurants. Clean and comfortable.

Room a little cool. Didn’t notice any heat in room. Was fine for sleeping.
We were attending dance comp at the Algonquin Theatre. So close to Inn. 2 minute drive.

The room looked newly renovated and was exceptionally clean. Bed was super comfortable; similar to the kind of mattresses you'd find in a 5 star hotel.

We've stayed at the Huntsville Inn several times. It's our hotel of choice in Huntsville. Good value, clean and comfortable rooms, really comfortable beds.

No plug for bath tub so not great for kids who only like baths.

I was charge an extra amount than Booking.com confirmed. They charged me the total amount Booking.com confirmed via email, as the total charge. They charged me the total amount plus taxes. I showed them the email, but they still charged the amount they think right. I believe this is an issue with the Booking.com system issue. I believe the reason could be my Credit Card on file was updated as I got a message from booking.com to update it, and once I did update the card booking.com system updated a different price. I Hope Booking.com will reimburse the extra amount I was charged.

rooms was a little "dated" but clean. Paying $10 for an a noon checkout vs. 11. Most hotels I have stayed in don't charge for an hour!

I had difficulty when I needed to move my reservation up a day coordinating between the property and Booking.com.

This is my fourth stay at this property. It is perfect for me as a single traveller and allows me to cut my trip from Sudbury to Gatineau in two.
This is a very basic property that serves it’s purpose. It is in an excellent location and very economical for a one night stay.

occasional smell of some sort of chemicals or diesel oil was coming out like from under the bed. Sometimes quite strong. Also heating unit exceptionally noisy. Both, the smell and noise preventing us from having a good sleep.

The bed spread had a stain. It was too heavy. Cold without and too hot with it. There should be a lighter blanket available. The shampoo was in a packet. Very hard to rip open. There should be a printed directory for the TV. It was hard to find what was on.
Walking distance to restaurants and mall. The microwave, coffee maker and fridge were nice to have. The TV had enough channels. Pillows and bed comfortable.

The room is a bit pricy for the size. It is a small corner unit, located on the ground level, near the stairs that are going to the first floor. View from the room is on the parking lot.
Room and bathroom are very clean. Bed and pillows were comfy. Good isolation, we did not hear noise from outside and local traffic. Late check in was allowed. Family restaurant is around a corner with the excellent breakfast.
