I found it strange when we arrived that the parking lot had not been cleared of snow. I had never been to Winnipeg in winter and realized that, that is the norm in Manitoba. Lol

The rooms were spacious. The gym was great. The dining area was clean and very well organized. We travel a lot for sports and this was the best breakfast selection I have seen in years. Staff was friendly. Overall one of the best hotels we have stayed at in years.

I didn’t like the saggy bed or seeing 2 different areas of shattered glass in the parking lot which made me think my vehicle was not safe.

I liked the variety at breakfast, the space in the 2 queen suite, and the location.

The pool area was full of kids and the second day was closed. Some guest with a dog used the elevator bin to dump the poop, the smell was awful in the hallway. Animals and smoking should be forbidden.

New Hotel in 2024. Warm and cozy in the winter. Clean, really clean. it was the first hotel that returned to daily room cleaning after the pandemic. Good breakfast but the area a bit small for so many tourists. For sure I will return here. I recommend to a friend.

Food for breakfast could be a bit hotter Outside sidewalk very clean of snow but the access to the sidewalk has lots of ice/snow Cracks in the outside tile would be very hazardous for high heel :)

I can't say that anything could have been better.

The variety of foods available, including gluten free options, was great! Plus, the quality was much better than many other hotel breakfasts I've had. Not greasy, not "it came in a box and was recently frozen", that kind of thing. The espresso machine was a nice addition and was available 24/7. The location was easy to get in and out of, and was located close to major thoroughfares so it was easy to get elsewhere in the city relatively quickly. It was also next to a park area/green space, so it was pretty quiet other than planes flying over toward the airport, but I didn't notice that much. The staff was wonderful, and was always smiling and interested in talking and joking around with you, making you feel at home and valued. They even put on a beer and appetizer night every Wednesday now from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM to show appreciation for their guests, and the beer was local craft beer as well! That was really what made me say this stay was over the top, exceeding my expectations. The breakfast/bar area in the lobby was set up well, meaning it was quiet, bright, and visually appealing, with a variety of seating options and it really felt like a place you could relax, as opposed to couch/chair areas in most hotel lobbies that look like they are more for decoration than sitting. The bed was comfy, softer than most I've stayed in, almost too soft for me as a bigger guy but I'll take it over a rock hard bed. I brought my own pillow so I can't comment on the pillows. The room was quite spacious and mine included a small couch and a desk along with the TV stand/dresser and bed. Lots of room for me to spread out for a week of work and not feel cramped in a small hotel room. I never tried the pool, but I heard other guests saying they liked it. This was our second visit to this location and it was very disappointing to see windows busted out of vehicles in the parking lot both times we stayed. There needs to be better security offered as I understand this is a common issue here. I will be looking for a safer place to stay when in Winnipeg unless the hotel can show me they have made security improvements

The service was exceptional They even provided a bath chair for the shower as I have mobility issues and need to use a walker. The breakfast included an offering of healthy items. Each day a new variety of fruits and hot items were available. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. All of the employees from front staff to the ones who cleaned the rooms met us with a smile.

Very minor observation was that the ceramic coffee mugs were hard to find so many people took disposable cups for their coffees. To reduce guest waste, having the mugs in a more visible location would be more sustainable.

This new, clean hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The hotel is near main roads so you can easily get around Winnipeg with a car. Hotel had lots of parking, was near big box stores and groceries, had blackout curtains that work, comfy beds, good coffee and lots of choice for breakfast, pool and workout room were busy but clean and well equipped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Being able to borrow a bicycle and a helmet to go explore nearby Assiniboine Wood and Park was a bonus.
