The heat pump in the living room wasn't working and the room didn't heat up at all. It felt really cold and we weren't happy about it.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights while road tripping across Cape Breton and the Cabot trail. It is such a nice place to stay, very clean, beautiful, and the staff was so accommodating. The location was also great, a short drive to the nearest stores and restaurants. We are definitely staying here again next year. The beach across the street was also beautiful, there’s a short little trail through the woods that leads down to the water and we had a beautiful sunset dinner. Highly recommend this place.

The only negative point was that it was a bit cold in the main room of the cabin. With the vaulted ceilings it was hard to heat up the space.

Charming log chalet. Good size. Short walk to the beach which was lovely.

Perhaps a keurig coffee maker would be great to have and an updated high def tv a little bigger in size but it was still awesome

We were happy we were able to take our 10 year old dog with us ,, cabin was very cozy , only thing I couldn’t figure out how to turn the fireplace on but wasn’t a big deal as I just wanted it on for ambiance not heat Easy to find ,, loved the rustic feel and the covered porch , also loved that you could walk across the street and down the nice pathway to the ocean .. Hope to book another time maybe for a few nights instead of 1 We had an issue with the tv remote and the lady came to the cabin right away and we discovered batteries were missing lol and she promptly came back with more , also , there were plenty of towels in the cabin

The coziness it was just delightful it was like a home away from home everything was provided that you would need for a stay away. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling in Cape Breton it was well worth it.

There were a few bugs in the rooms, but it is an all-wood outdoorsy cabin, so not entirely unexpected. There is no interaction with staff and lack of instructions in the cabin (everything was done through key drop or phone call/text), so you're on your own mostly when it comes to help or basic necessities. The WiFi was not very good; it was slow, and dropped out a lot; it could have been the worst thing about the cabin. The TV was hard to operate, and one of the remote controls was missing a battery.

The location was great. It was close to many trails and wonderful scenery, right on the Cabot Trail. The beds were comfortable and plenty of towels and basic kitchen equipment was provided for all the days of our stay. It was very quiet at night, and nice that our cabin was separated from others so there was little to no noise at night. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice.

Chalets were comfortable and relaxing. Loved the finished wood inside. Travelled with aunt and uncle in their ‘70s. Great for seniors and those young at heart. We’ll be back!

Cold water in the shower, no coffee creamer in fridge, only powdered.

Location, rustic old cabin feel was cool. Also BTW the Bell receiver flashed a message indicating it will soon become inactive due to bell upgrades to HD models. In case you didn’t know :)
