We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe Italian restaurant had wonderful food but the atmosphere needs a more intimate surrounding to warm it up.
Breakfast was an adequate continental breakfast with good coffee . The room was cheery and bright with a beautiful view of the river. Our accomodations were spacious, with lovely vaulted ceilings, making it feel very comfortable. The balcony outside was lovely to sit and have that afternoon glass of wine. Location is excelllent for walking to the shops and the falls.

Canadawe are elderly, but not disabled in any way, but the lack of a grab bar in the shower made getting in and out of the shower a challenge. there wasn’t a telephone in the room and to get to reception, breakfast room or dining room we had to go outside and up a flight of stairs.

Staff were excellent, the property was tired needing an upgrade, as an ex-hotelier I understand the problems of constantly trying to keep on top of expensive upgrades. The areas that have been (the terrace and Basilic Restaurant look great) so I anticipate when they get to them it will be to a high standard. The new Mews rooms looked excellent.

CanadaHaving a 2yr old with us, it was a bit difficult to get down the stairs to our room with all of our stuff. Would've been great if their was a ramp vs having to lift everything up & down. We liked that a continental breakfast was offered but when we went there shortly after 8, there was already no cream or milk left for coffee or cereal. No water for the coffee maker either. And no staff on site yet to help with these issues (altho there was a # that we could call.) Having an ice machine available at the property would've also been appreciated..
The location and property was breathtaking. So glad there was an option to get a room with a Lakeview and a balcony to enjoy it. It was worth the extra cost! Rooms were clean and they even set up a tiny mattress for our little girl. Staff were so accommodating and friendly. It was our daughters birthday & her first sleep away from home. The owners went above & beyond by getting her a birthday card. This was incredibly thoughtful. So special for her & makes a amazing keepsake from her first official trip. We were both surprised & so grateful for this extremely kind gesture.

CanadaThe breakfast could be improved by having staff on site from opening at 6:00 am to put out plates, fill water jugs etc. Need more fresh fruit like bananas which cost next to nothing.
We liked the comfy cottagey feel of the inn and the historic age of the main building. the location is great for the view of the river and you can walk to all the shops, so no having to find parking downtown. A huge deck and lawn where you can sit to read or watch the river traffic. Very quiet.

United StatesWe were disappointed we didn't stay upstairs. The inn is touted ad being haunted but we weren't in the part of the building that's haunted. The only other complaint we had was the bathroom was extremely small. Although, being a old building, that's probably to be expected.
The inn is very quaint. Loved the area. Has views of the falls next to the inn. We enjoyed our room. The bed was very comfortable.

CanadaRoom was very clean but old. Looks like we were in one of the few not yet renovated. Windows wouldn’t open and air conditioner was super rattling.
Location couldn’t be beat, lovely spot by the water with a great patio overlooking the gorgeous view. Staff couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. Thank you and we’ll be back!
