How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

No hair dryer but owner said we could have requested one. Reception area needs some updates and more space. If at the reception desk you’re hit by the door should anyone else come in. Could also have someone who readily speaks English for guests arriving.
On the highway. Good place to stop in to break up a journey.

The parking isn't great based on the shape of the motel so we couldn't park in front of our room, but that is pretty negligible.
The hotel is a convenient location close to the main highway but far enough away that you don't hear the traffic noise. We only needed a bed to sleep in as we were on our way to Calgary but the reception made it easy to check in even so very late, and offered a complimentary water. The beds were small and creaky but comfortable enough. The room was clean and generally quiet but this could've been because we arrived at 3am. Very spacious with a little breakfast/card table so would be good for a longer stay if needed.

The bathroom could have been a bit more set-up. For example, I would recommend installing a towel rack, as there was no place to hang the hand or bath towels.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room is clean, comfortable, and exactly what you'd expect from a motel. It was simple and nothing fancy, but it was perfect for our visit to Bassano.

The owners / managers are very kind and helpful, and went out of their way to assist us. The room is big and comfortable, and the bathtub is really great. It looks like it's out of a 1960's sci-fi series!

We were able to cook our own meals comfortably, which is a luxury during a long holiday. What we enjoyed most was the close proximity to Dinosaur Provincial towards the east and Drumheller to the north. The hosting family is also super friendly!

The beds were a tad on the firm side. The pink window curtains made for an interesting pink hue throughout the room when the sun rose in the morning.
Very clean and quiet place. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The shower was not too hot so I took a bath instead. The water there was nice and hot. For some reason the shower was quite cold even though I turned the hot water on higher.
I didn't have breakfast. When I asked if they served breakfast they said no they didn't but that was ok as I had brought some food for breakfast anyway. There was also a restaurant near by where a person could go to eat.

Don't really have anything negative to say about A1.
I had a great sleep here. It was clean, quiet, peaceful and well maintained. The owners are great, you can tell they care about their business. Not fancy but everything works properly. I am traveling with my brother and we actually had separate bedrooms so that was a bonus. Its not a five Star hotel but great value for your money. Good place to stop on your journey. Would stay there again for sure.

Not a big deal, but the room was super bright in the morning. It was like that Kenny Roger's Roaster episode of Seinfeld when I woke up, since everything was red due to the thin red curtains lol.. parking could be a bit complicated if you're in a corner unit due to the shape of the building. These are not big deals though. Would stay again for sure.
Room was clean and affordable. 24 hour gas station right near the hotel. About 45-50 mins outside of Dinosaur Provincial Park. Would stay again. No bedbugs.
