Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaCleaning services were not provided unless requested. Perhaps this is government enforced, but the price remained the same, and no real effort was made by the hotel to support guests daily. Perhaps the hotel could find innovative ways to provide support to customers (rubbish collection, turn down packages daily, refreshments) something which goes over and above knowing that daily cleaning (something people really appreciate when going to hotels) is not possible in the normal format.
The room, and finishings were exceptional, and definitely 5 star worthy.

There were so many restaurants, the casino, all on the property. So many things to do all in one place.

CanadaWifi didn’t work for my daughter’s Switch. Hard to give more constructive feedback than this because everything was so well thought out and executed.
Beautiful view of BC place and the courtyard. Love the blackout curtains. Air conditioning was great for the heat wave. Wifi was strong enough for video conferences for work. I love how the property is pet friendly. Great selection of restaurants. Staff were attentive and courteous.

CanadaI didn’t like missing breakfast because I didn’t think ahead to book on Sunday in salt and honey. I didn’t like that I had to book last minute a paid that extra $100.+ dollars for the room. Missed that the hot tub was available. The shower did not block the spray in the shower thus it pooled on the floor outside the shower. Showers like these usually have silicone gasket which help to stop this from happening g and possible setting up the visitor for a slip or dangerous fall.
Room, positioning of furniture, added chaise was superb. Everything I used was convenient. Menus for the restaurants for order in room meals would have been great though you may have something posted on the tv and at the time I didn’t think to check. Salt and honey required a booking for Sunday morning brunch that I didn’t prepare for so I didn’t get to enjoy breakfast before my conference. This was me not being prepared. This visit was staycation/conference and I would do it again but book earlier so I get a rate more in my pricing comfort.

CanadaI booked a One Bedroom King Suite at JW Marriott Parq Vancouver through you, to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. From the description, it was indicated that the room type has a sea view. Please refer to the attached image, which is a screenshot of the room's description. However, upon check-in, not only was there no sea view, but the view was completely blocked by a stadium. This is the first time I've encountered such a situation after booking so many hotels with booking.com. If this room type differentiates between sea views and city views, I believe booking.com needs to specify this in the description. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The misleading description of this room type by booking.com almost ruined the birthday surprise I had prepared for my girlfriend, and I am truly disappointed. I have been using booking.com for many years now and am a Genius Level 3 member, which means I am a loyal user. But the misleading description of the hotel room, especially on such an important occasion as celebrating my girlfriend's birthday, is truly disheartening. This may lead me to leave booking.com. I hope you can rectify this mistake.

United StatesBooked 1 bedroom Suite for family of 3 HOWEVER, no bed for third who was a teenager??? Had to order rollaway?? The double cost was not worth it and we could not book two rooms due to the age. Conference got preference over guests. Executive lounge closed which required us to breakfast in room only. No flexibility. Restaurant closed for guests - again, conference specific events.
Location was fabulous. Staff went out of their way to make a better experience for us given the hotel was overcome by a conference limiting amenities, restaurants and food.

CanadaBare minimum facilities provided! At the price they are charging, expected alot more. Felt like the premium cost charged was only for the Brand Marriot rather than the services. My partner had her birtdat abd we were assured that we will be provided with a cake or something from the hotel but nothing came!
Room was neat. staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and well maintained so happy about the service provided by the staff and the neatness of the hotel!
