Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

CanadaWe appreciated the air conditioner but it was very loud and affected the visiting and tv watching experience. The lake out front was a little murky to swim in but I still enjoyed my swimming time. There were a lot of strata rules… but it’s nice to know that people value their properties so much that they require compliance.
The location on the lakefront was amazing. The layout of the condo was great. The kitchen was well stocked; we appreciated having the condiments available. The supply of ice made in the freezer was awesome as it was so hot outside with the heat wave. Loved the teal coloured chairs in the living room.

Canada2nd bedroom has a fold out futon type bed and no closet or wardrobe to hang clothes (main bedroom was perfect). Would probably be fine for kids, but for a second couple you would have to flip a coin or something so there wouldn’t be hard feelings. In fairness I believe this is listed as a den. The beach was not useable as it was covered in Goose poop. They need to let somebody on ground floor have a “working” dog to keep geese from making this their comfortable spot. There are plenty of other beaches across the lake, away from people, they could use.

CanadaWell, the place smelled bad from a previous guest's lingering body odor. Hence why all the fans were on high and the doors were wide open to the air. The hot tub we came for was "surprisingly" shut down for the season even though it was advertised as being available. The inclusion of that detail would have been pivitol in our decision to stay here but "someone" forgot to update the listing. The reclining loveseat was in "permanent recline mode" and we were told to enjoy it as a feature. Spent a couple of hours tinkering with it so we could use the seat. The 2nd bed is very uncomfortble as well. Thought my wife and I would set our lawn chairs on the front lawn and enjoy some sun while listening to our audio books with our headphones but #106 likes to interrogate the guests. She was short of asking us for ID and our social insurance numbers as proof we were not loitering on the property. Lastly, I do understand the need for an orientation however we are not purchasing a unit, we simply wanted to stay a few nights. You may wish to make the orientation guest friendly and less exhaustive. The "host representative - Diane" was pleasant enough but seemed dutifully bound to deflect our concerns stating she would talk to the owners to see what can be done. Well, I waited to write this review as to afford some time for "something to be done" and nothing has been mentioned. That is too bad because we kinda feel "ripped off" for no other reason than misrepresentation of some crucial details. We will not be coming back to this facility anytime soon and suggest caution.
The location is outstanding and the condo is situated in a lovely spot.
