The coffee situation isn’t fun. Making it the way they give is a process. I believe a simple plunge coffee is so much easier. The mugs they gave were so small and it made a mess. Also need more room for storing belonging and racks for hanging wet towels. In winter, a place to leave wet boots and hooks for jacket.

    Great views and cute concept.

The clock next to my bed ticked loudly, external door locks are hard to use, wooden shutters are awkward, price should be more reduced in winter months.

Loved that it is close to Wellington for restaurants. Nice to be on the water. Bed very comfortable. Liked the winter sauna option.

Didn’t realize you could see in the doors of the rooms- a sheer curtain would be nice. Also hot water served in the morning for tea alongside the coffee.

Location and view out by pool. Complementary apples were lovely!

Our room didn’t have a lakeside view, as advertised. It was more of a pool side view (still beautiful). Also, while the room was gorgeous, it wasn’t very practical to unpack as there was little storage. More utilitarian furniture would be good. Also I think there should be a way for pool guests to enter the pool area without requiring a bracelet.

The staff was really nice, friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Peter the cat was amazing. Great views and comfortable property. The fire pits were a great touch. The pool environment was excellent.

The rooms are on the small side, and the bathrooms have really poor lighting. However, our biggest complaint is the price. The Lakeside Motel is wildly overpriced for the quality of the motel. They can get away with this, however, given the low availability of other accommodation options in the area.

Cute, modern rooms. Great location in Wellington. Very nice pool area and bar. Nicely stocked mini bar, and tasty in-room coffee making kit.

    - You have to sit in the restaurant patio in order to enjoy the lake view. Even as a hotel guest their is no direct access to the lake from the hotel other than the restaurant. I just wanted to chill without ordering food or drink but that wasn’t possible. - There was a hot tub but I was not allowed to use it as it was only for the tent guests! Hotel facilities should be for all guests!

Clean rooms, nice interior. Quite and nice location. Very friendly polite staff.

More privacy with the glassdoor would have been appreciated: the wood door inside is not practical and not darkening enough in the early morning. Also, I also didn’t really understand the concept of the pool bracelet. We removed ours after the first day because we were heading somewhere else and the second day we have been told that that bracelet was supposed to be reused during our stay, fortunately staff gave us new ones.

Room was sparkling clean and modern. the bed is so comfy. The lakeview at the restaurant and the swimming pool is wonderful

Coffee should be out earlier than 9 am. It seems a bit late even if they are catering to couples on couples weekends , the coffee should be out a bit earlier IMO.

Check in is not until 4.00 and leaves little time for use of pool when it closes at 6.00 pm. Wristband/towel cards for pool are a pain, particularly the wristbands for multiple day stays (have to go back to reception to ask for another one of you take it off to go out of an evening. Credit card is taken at check in but you cannot charge back to your room for either pool or restaurant drinks/food (apparently because they are owned separately) and have to take a credit card down with you each time. Rooms are OK but could do with more hanging room in bathroom and the folding door system (instead of blinds) looks fine but does not work easily. You do get a dedicated car spot but parking area is pretty tight, particularly if there are some large cars in there.

Great location, walking distance of most places in town, access to pool and restaurant. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too hard.

On booking it said I booked a room, when I got there it was a tent, glamping style but still not what I thought I had booked. Had to share restroom and shower not only with other people in tents but people who would visit for the day or go to the restaurant. I think $250 a night in a tent is quite pricey. You should change this so people don’t fall for it in the future.

Restaurant was extremely busy one night and it took 2 hrs to get our food which was cold when it arrived. The Manager apologized profusely and completely our meal. She was very gracious. Seems that there’s a problem getting ppl to work in the area due to Covid which is so unfortunate. Otherwise our other meals there were excellent.

Great setting, loved the glamping tents and the beds were super comfortable with a soft duvet and blanket if you needed to keep warm at night. Nice touch to have a small fridge in our room. Excellent view from restaurant on the deck, great selection of premium drinks, old Hollywood feel to the pool area and outdoor movies on a screen at night. We just loved our stay here!

The only issue I have had repeatedly is with service. Some staff were great and well trained but that is NOT the norm. This is the 2nd year we’ve stayed, thinking service would have been worked by this year, and unfortunately, it’s still really lacking. For the most part they are not experienced, even remotely attentive, and didn’t appear to have training as a team. The restaurant in particular needs way better organization to meet the needs of it’s customers. This is especially unfortunate considering the cost of both the motel and the restaurant. We have stayed at several other locations in PEC where service has been incredible, so maybe this can be attributed to the fact that this is a new motel that’s still working out the kinks.

Beautiful property with awesome amenities and is seriously perfectly located. Our standard room was also very comfortable and contained everything we needed, including Le Labo products (which is stellar)! Since last year, they have also made beautiful upgrades to the property, making it an Ace Hotel like experience. Having a pool and lakeside access is also wonderful as the beaches fill up fast in the county these days.
