Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe location was ok, I thought it would be closer to the ski lift. It says 200m from the porte du Soleil but it is not a pleasant walk and you cannot ski directly to the lift. You have to take a shuttle which would be ok if it came often but it only comes every 40 minutes. This is not sufficient in my opinion especially because it only takes 10 minutes to go back and forth, I think they could do better on this. On top of that during lunch period there is a 1h20 gap. So if you want to go back to your chalet to eat lunch you really have to plan ahead of time and you can't do this quickly, you kind of lose on valuable time at the ski hill. Also when we got to the chalet , there were only 3 rolls of toilet paper for 8 people for 3 nights. It would be nice not to have to ask for necessities like this. Also, there were only 2 pods for the dishwasher. The stairs to get up to the front door were icy and I had to ask them to put salt. There was not enough dish towels. The double beds are quite small so not ideal for a couple. Another thing that was disappointing was the hot tub not being open during the winter. Not sure who wants to use a hot tub during the summer... this is something to be added to attract guests during ski period.
The chalet was nicely decorated. It was cozy. The price was good. We had access to Netflix on the TV. Nice fireplace but you have to use eco wood. The communication with the host was good.

CanadaThe dishwasher wasn't mounted and tipped over whenever the top drawer was opened. The patio doors if not shut precisely would be open to the outside allowing the -30 temps inside ! The threshold between the kitchen and hallway wasn't properly secured and was a big trip hazard !
Close to the pedestrian village , nice space , great value. Overall very nice condo.

CanadaProperty was quiet dark, and needed some brighter lights!
Large condo with nice furnishings. Balcony and BBQ lovely in the summer, as is the wonderful pool complex. Free shuttle service to the village available (we just drove and used the free car parks). This location isn’t right in the village, but it’s very close. Beds are wonderful, kitchen well stocked.

Canada1) THERE WAS NO AIR CONDITIONING DURING A HEAT WAVE IN AUGUST! All 5 of us are in our 60s and have travelled around the world, but never had any of us stayed in a place without AC. Quebec is very warm in the summer, so we could not comprehend how cheap the owners were. It was 29 degrees Celsius (84 Fahrenheit) with a humidex of over 40 Celsius (105 Fahrenheit). The Property Manager was kind enough to arrange for fans in each bedroom. Originally most people went to Mt-Tremblant during the winter only, but this has changed and people flock there in all seasons. We paid approximately $1800 for 4 nights, but the owners have no money to install AC! The advertisement should have indicated IN CAPITAL LETTERS that AC was not included or, perhaps, we were the dumb ones to assume it was available. 2) The condo is carpeted so was not as clean as I would had liked, and the previous tenants had left crumbs left on the dining room table. 3) The downstairs toilet seat. Well, they say a picture says a thousand words. You be the judge.
The area was very pretty. The condo was spacious enough for 5 people. The kitchen was well stocked. The condo was painted in colours too dark for my liking but, as they say, “À chacun son goût”. The Christmas decor in August was interesting. We appreciated that we were able to contact the Property Manager.
