Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe bathroom was really small and the towels also very small, however we made it work. Would have preferred a more luxurious and bigger towels. Not much storage so you're living out of your suitcase. Perfect for a weekend!
The room was small but the king bed was very comfortable, Yannick was very attentive and assisted us with extra coffee and a corkscrew. The view was fabulous. The location was perfect! Small little manor type accommodation, no amenities to speak of, but everything is so close! There was a mini fridge in the room as well as a Nespresso machine.

CanadaRoom 2 shower drain could use some TLC. Shower stall filled with water during the shower. Nothing foul about the water, but it could be addressed.
Location, location, location in/near the heart of Quebec City. Self-service check-in so you may not have the opportunity to be greeted and have questions answered (if you have them). The room was adequate but the washroom could use some TLC.

Bed was comfy and linens were nice. Building was full of character. Security was very good.

United KingdomFirst impressions are very important as we arrived all the plants in the planters were dead. Just needs a little more attention to detail and this hotel would up it's game. These things might not matter to everyone so I would highly recommend it for location alone
The location was perfect in in the heart of the old city.

CanadaAs the name implies, Old Quebec, the buildings were a bit old, which made them absolutely beautiful. This was no problem at all, we loved that! but our room was a bit small (I’m not sure about the the others) We didn’t mind it, but it’s something worth noting for people who may be travelling with kids. This manoir is more suited for a single traveller or a couple who is not uncomfortable hearing each other in the bathroom.
The location was perfect! It was in the heart of Old Quebec City. Everything was in the walking distance: A park directly in the front of the manoir, and you’re able to see an amazing view Levis,QC as you take a 2 minute stroll to the Dufferin Terrace boardwalk, a lot of restaurants and scenic places well within the area. The manoir was self-run meaning there wasn’t a receptionist on site when we arrived which is okay. There were very clear simple instructions on what to do.

CanadaThe only thing that would need improvements is the shower space.
Great location! You are at walking distance from everything: the old port, Castle Frontenac, Plains of Abraham, and great restaurants. The place is reminiscent of the 1800’s, is spacious, and the staff was welcoming and accommodating. Overall, I enjoyed my stay!

MalaysiaHard to contact via what’s app. As it’s a smaller type of boutique hotel, there is no person waiting at the hotel for you. I didn’t realise this and walked around town a bit with my small suitcase. Perhaps if they had a few people available to reach them via what’s app or phone numbers it could help future guests. But this won’t deter me staying next time. I would just make better arrangements.
No breakfast was provided which was fine for me. Location was perfect, just across the park from Le Frontenac. As I arrived before the check in time, I tried contacting the person via what’s app as I did not have a local phone. They are not very regular with what’s app, so can be difficult to reach if you don’t have a local SIM card or calling privileges in Canada. But because of this, they kindly upgraded my room which was very nice! The room was tastefully decorated and clean! Very nice staff to talk too.

United StatesWifi was pretty slow for today's standards. Still worked, just slow.
Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Gave great tourist advice. I looked forward to seeing them each day. Having 3 queen beds for a family of 5 is crucial and uncommon in most places. So that room was perfect for us as was the direct entry and the strong air conditioning on a very hot week.

CanadaNo breakfast. The parking fee is very vey expensive $36 for two nights. The owner charged me twice with our hotel fee but he called me that he will return the money. I’m just crossing my fingers that no problem will arise with that refund.

Location was very close to everything we wanted but you need to walk remember and if you have difficulty with hills then Old Quebec city is not good for you. Inside the walls and on every street you are welcomed and can be at ease. We book this place mainly for location but we were surprised by how friendly everone was.

CanadaParking. I saw that the other hotels near by had parking passes. This should be something to consider. It is limited but a few designated spots for the hotel would be good.
Best part was the location. Right next to St. Lawrence River and Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. Night life was amazing, walk along the streets with pubs, restaurants and local shops.
