Your website and even the top of this page shows an individual lovely cottage. What we got was a motel room with a filthy porch to go to an outside kitchen with appliances that didn't work. The deck was in desparate need of scraping and painting, couldn't sit on the chairs without pain coming off on our clothes. The picture on the website was not what we were given. We never met the woman with whom we had to communicate with, some man came from somewhere to give us a key, and we were not told there was a wifi password.

Pool was out of order due to liner needing to be replaced. Also not easy access for swimming, no beach just boat launch & boat docks.

Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly. It was a beautiful location & nice cottages.

The little cottage number 2 was hilariously tilted and the ceiling are low. Doors difficult to open or close. Not really accessible to if you have walking disabilities.

Being right on the water is great! Probably not a great spot to swim, but boater friendly.

High room rate... and this isn't a dig at the Merland specifically but to all of Picton and area accommodations... overpriced! Not sure I'd stay there again.

Stayed in cabin #7 in Sep 2022; it was clean and the kitchenette was well equipped with appliances and utensils. The cabin and deck had a terrific view of the water, and a lovely view of the water.

Needs updating Screen on patio door was ripped and couldn’t be closed so could not leave door open A/C did not work properly Was not able to turn off cold tap in shower completely so it ran slightly all the time

The cottage would be more attractive if the outside was hosed down. I did encounter 3 spiders and an ant inside.

Lovely view from the dock and fun campfire in the evening. We enjoyed our own breakfast each morning on our deck facing the water. The shared kitchen worked out fine.

Motel room entrance and decks weren't clean. Shower in the second motel room was tiny, just about ok for a kid. I'd have expected basics like a bathroom and shower to be consistent with all motel rooms considering they're all priced the same.

Great lakeside location. Seating by the lakeside is great with serene views. Fantastic views of the sunset. Lots of variety of cottages available and property is beautiful. Bonfire nights. Great place if you enjoy fishing. Barbecue for every cottage, made for an enjoyable evening dinner!

Kitchen part was a little small but worked well for us at this time.

Accommodations were as I expected and sufficient for our needs at this time. I am interested in the fact it can be a fishing area for family.

Bedroom door and bed frame were very squeaky. If you or your partner are a light sleeper you will wake each other up if you move in the bed or open the door.

Very clean. Nice cabin. Playground equipment is nice for young families. Nice communal deck to watch the sunset.

Incident that a Neighbor caused because of my dog barking was left unattended. It was dealt with as if it was a big incident and the other neighbour was not given a harassment warning. Owner was pleasant though.

It was an old construction and some of the things need to be replaced. The bed was really old and not confortable and the sheets were very used as well. They had stains and were just very old. Other than that, for a motel room it was clean as I said.

We liked the location of the place. Only 20 min from sandbanks beach and in the lovely village of Picton. The place was overall good. We stayed at the motel room #15. It was clean, well equipped. There’s a little shared kitchen outside for the 3 hotel rooms. It is fully equipped and very clean. That was really nice to have.

More activities by the water to go out such as a water trampoline or water mat for kids.

It was a good location and it allowed pets. It had access to kayaks and paddleboards. It could use a few updates such as a fix to stoves and perhaps a microwave. Otherwise, everything was great!.
