Love the cabin, it’s a great experience for city folks like us. But a fair few improvements would make it even better.

The 2 rooms were quite small, so not alot of space for stuff. No hanging wardrobe in both rooms, but one room has some shelves. So we had to use the space in the sitting and dining room too (which was plenty). Some hooks or something for hanging clothes in the room would be useful. The room in the loft, which is beautiful, is not easy to access. As it has narrow & steep (but very beautiful) stairs. So very challenging to climb up, not to mention bring our suitcases up. Also all the windows have no shades or curtains. The bedroom ones at least shd have shade or curtains installed.

It’s beautiful, and very comfortable. Such a great experience for city folks like us. There are heaters all around the cabin so it is very warm and comfortable. I also like the info pack which is put together very nicely. Thank you Simone for clearly stating that the cups and plates are cleaned and sterilised according to standards. The sheets smell amazing too. Plenty of towels provided, as well as tea & coffee.

Loved the cabin, the surroundings were lovely and quiet. Nice to be among nature. Communication was great and allowed us to go into the cabin a little earlier which was appreciated.

When city people go on vacation in a cabin in the woods…

You either like to sleep in a cabin with all that comes with it, or not. We had mixed feelings about our stay as we are used to city hotels, but it was a great experience to sleep among the bears and all other wildlife in the park... The kitchen cupboards are the old ones from before the renovation, I guess. The wood smells a bit but it didn't really bother us.

A nice little old cabin surrounded by a forest and a lot of green and privacy. You won’t see any people or other houses around. We haven't met the hosts who seem to try to make your stay enjoyable. Great and prompt communication. Tip: Try to arrive during daylight, then it is easy to find. You will receive instructions from the host a few days before your arrival. Clean rooms and bathroom. Liked the bedding, that was European style. There were enough towels for everyone. Our travel companions loved the hot chocolate options provided by the hosts. It rained on one day and it was nice to sip a hot chocolate while peeking through the big living room window. Cabin can sleep 6 people, but we didn’t use the living room corner as there were only 2 seats available (which we knew in advance due to the pictures). In the evenings we played games at the long wooden table that fit all of us. It felt a bit creepy in the evenings because there are no curtains on the windows. Also something we were not used to. Everything is open and you can look into the dark night…. hoping that coyotes and bears don’t care about what’s happening inside 😊 There is a fire pit outside that you can use if there is no fire ban. When you book the cabin, don’t count on being able to use it as basically every year and all summer from June to October you can expect a fire ban due to the high fire danger in the surrounding forest. But there is a huge stove in the kitchen and enough cooking utensils that you can then use for preparing your dinner. The nights are dark and because you sleep in the middle of the forest, you sleep with all that comes with it. Howling coyotes and noisy critters around the house. Indeed something you have to get used to when coming from a city life.
