Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

from the time we got out of our car, we were greeted by friendly employees. once checked in, the macaroons and pastries in the room that seemed homemade were outstanding. The bathroom was the best, amazing. the bar was great. we did not dine there but had some drinks. Overall, great value. I tried to stay there again a couple weeks later but was sold out. The best Ritz that I have ever been to.

The hotel is in a great location right in the center of Montréal, close to all restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in was large (nearly 50sq meters) and had deep bath as well as a shower and a dedicated dressing room. The service was amazing as you’d expect, but all the staff were exceptionally lovely and went above and beyond our expectations - the trip was for my wife’s birthday and the staff put petals on the bed and left some chocolate treats and a birthday card for her, what a lovely touch that has made our trip very special. There were plenty of choices for breakfast, and the food was delicious. We sat in the courtyard garden while ducks were roaming by - a lovely atmosphere.

We often have booked Ritz Carlton before, but this was an outstanding experience. We had never such a pleasant stay. Everybody in the Hotel was extremely friendly and we got a lot of help due to special situation. Reception was extremely helpful and extraordinary friendly, Restaurant same and food was also awesome, breakfast as well as dinner. Fantastic stay over my birthday!!!!! Many thanks!!!

United StatesThe cake wasn't eaten completely and stayed in the room for 2 days, no one took it back. The lunch at Boulud wasn't as good as expected but we really enjoyed a dinner at the restaurant Le Bonaparte in Le Vieux Montreal.
The nice attention for my daughter's birthday, they offered us a cake. The Spa is amazing and the staff is very nice and helpful. The doormen were particularly helpful on any occasion.

A friend and I went for my 50th Birthday weekend and it was a stay where the hotel staff went above and beyond. The hotel was amazing from the luxury of the room and majestic show and deep soaking tub to the fantastic room service, bar, pool, sauna and tea. The staff was exceptional, amenities were top notch and it was AMAZING. Thank you for a wonderful weekend and celebratory get away.
