Road noise was ever-present but never a deal-breaker.

The setting is surprisingly peaceful. The view is beautiful. Everything about the cabin is comfortable and welcoming.

Acknowledging more obviously in advertising that the Bunkieland cabins had a steep set of stairs that could pose a problem for elders, persons with a handicap or anyone having a balance problem. These cabins are perfect for the super fit outdoorsy types !

Our only issue was the steep ladder climb to get to the loft bed. However our host, Maria, was wonderful and hastily found a new replacement accommodation the next morning.

Motion detector light on the bathroom wasn't working. It was dark but the fullmoon lit up the area just fine. Did not know where the wood was kept for a fire. Not sure if fires were even allowed there. 🤔

Quiet camping cabin . We enjoyed the facilities in a beautiful setting.

There was nothing really major that we didn't like. The bathroom fan was quite noisy and a few basic spices in the kitchen would be nice, but again, nothing major!

The cabin's location was excellent, just outside of the city of Nelson.

The cabin was very hot although it did cool off through the night. It was hot to try to get to sleep.

Location was great. No breakfast. The porch area and the tranquility was really nice. Thats what i was looking for. The place was impeccably clean.

I was driving a big truck & the driveway was a smidge tricky…I’d recommend parking in the little lot & walking down to check it out first. The bunkie was extremely private & I didn’t feel the need for blinds/curtains, but they might be nice just to keep the heat out during the day. Cooled off nicely at night though!

Definitely not mainstream…so much better! We stayed in the brand new”Boho Bungalow” with a beautiful lake view from our very private sundeck. The master bedroom (loft) had a superb bed (you have to climb a ladder), and the futon bed below was comfortable for 1 adult (2 smaller kids would be fine). We slept with the windows open wide to the sounds & smells of our woodsy setting…glorious! There’s a separate bathroom steps awawy (really nice & new), & another little kitchen house with everything you need. Also bbq, firepit & picnic areas (small fridge/freezer in the bunkie). Maria is an amazing host…she really will get you whatever you need. Everything is beautifully decorated & thoughtfully planned. Will definitely return!

This is a specific issue that I have with all cabin rentals, and perhaps I am a bit of a cookware snob but I would like to see better pots and pans. I understand that it is hard to do, because some people don't know how to deal with seasoned cookware, so I guess non stick is the best way to go.

As this was not a B&B but a cabin rental we did not get breakfast. The location was great as we were only 5 minutes from Nelson, but we had a lovely little deck that looked out over the valley and the town that got shade from about 10 am on, with another deck on the side if you wanted a little sun. Stacking washer and dryer was nice to have too.

Unfortunately it was a little less private than I expected. I had not known there would be construction going on right next to the cabin when I booked the trip. Also there are no blinds/ curtains on any windows in kitchen/ living area. Because of this and the workers very close by, I felt I did not have enough privacy. And because of that I decided to check out early

Host is amazing. Very warm, helpful and outgoing. She made sure I had everything I needed and even gave me a tour of the new Bunkieland! Adorable Absolutely beautiful property with lush forest, flowers and nature all around. Sooo much better than a hotel! Love the rustic , homestead feel of the cabin. Impeccable view.

This beautiful cozy cabin tucked away on the side of a hill offered stunning views of the mountains and rivers. And we were less than a 5 minute drive from town. The cabin has a huge kitchen, well stocked with supplies for meal preparation. The bedroom is large and spacious with a glorious view, and the loft bed was an added charm . Our host, Maria, is very gracious and will told us points of interest in town, where to go for walks, and hikes, and about the hot springs near town. We absolutely will be back to Morning Star.

In order to have such a spectacular view you loose the ability to being able to walk anywhere. It's not far from town but it's a few minutes from nelson.

The view is spectacular. We were also able to start a fire outside. Maria is a fantastic host.

There is nothing we didn't like. Oh, yes, one thing which isn't a complaint, just an observation. At night we are used to closed blinds at home, but there were none in the living area of the cabin (only in the bedroom). But we got used to it as there weren't any neighbours or people who could peek... We were surrounded by nature.

We liked the very cozy cabin with a fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need is handy. Every room had its own baseboard heaters and the temperature could be adjusted individually. It was very clean and tidy. We slept wonderfully in the soft comfortable bedding.
