How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Property has individual room water heaters. This did not allow two of us to have warm showers in the morning.

Thin walls, we could hear people coming in a out of their rooms all day. We could hear kids crying at 6am to 8am on our first night. Multiple cop cars could be heard from the highway near us. Bathroom was not very clean and the water heater is so small 2 people can barely take showers back to back. The shower head seemed broken and the water was either too cold or too hot (no in between). The floor felt dirty, can’t walk barefoot in the room at all.

We left to sight see at 830 am and returned at 6pm and not one little thing had been done. No clean towels which we needed. We never wanted clean sheets but the beds were not even made up. Worst case I had to bring the dirty towels to the desk mysel to get clean ones. The beds were very uncomfortable.
There was no breakfast.

I did not have any complaints. Of course a standard for QC, one has to pay everything in advance but that is the custom of this province.
These are basic accommodations. Everything is basic but okay and, judging by my room, clean.

Stayed there for many years when visiting home. Alas, it will be my last time the place seems to have not aged well, from when we stayed there 5 yrs ago
the location is ideal for the place I go when visiting home. Additionally with a DUNNs right there it made my life east to get my smoked meat sandwich, which I cannot get where I live.

The bathroom did not have an extractor fan, the parking facing door could be barely closed and we kept it bolted as it was quite easy to open with just the keylock. The furniture and beds were very old and worn out. The room didn't have many power outlets so we had to just unplug the tv. The blinds and curtains are not dark enough so sunlight will pass through. I would not recommend to stay longer than 1 night. No breakfast included. Pricing wasn't matching the quality of the facility in any way.
The motel is located just off a highway junction on the road to Montreal (~25 min from downtown). Plenty of parking is available and the room can be both accessed from the parking or from within the hotel. The room was very spacious and quiet even though it's very close to the highway.

Have a small coffee maker w the positivity to have a coffee or tea.. Loose drain plug in the bathroom on the floor
Staff on arrival and departure eere very friendly and had no issues in promptly change a burnt llihht bulb & helped w the tv set up. Safety hand rail in bathtub were a great thing for folks w lack of mobility... Motel is very accessable to the hyway .plus had a wonderfull sleep as well. Hope price of rooms do not go up in the future. Thanks again.

it’s getting rather old. a few things weren’t quite ok. Ex: drapes not hanging properly, washbasin nearly plugged up, no stoppers for washbasin or bath.

The couch in the room was in rough shape, the couch was intact but there is no support to it anymore and the cushions are completely squashed without comfort.
When I arrived the motel was out of power, hydro Quebec had shut it off completely without notifying the motel. As a result I couldn’t check in right away. After talking with the staff and waiting in my truck for two hours the staff finally gave me a room, an upgrade, because they knew it wasn’t booked and let me complete the checkin the following day. It was really appreciated because I had to start very early the next day and needed to get to bed early. And instead of moving me afterwards they allowed me to stay in the same room for the rest of the week.

The hotel room's unreliable lock was disappointing; finding the door open upon my return was concerning. The lack of surprise from the security team suggests this might be a common issue. The outdated furniture and small bathroom were additional drawbacks to consider.
