The hot water went out, there was garbage under the bed from previous visitors very tight parking, not enough plug outlets.

The barbecues fire pits hot tub sauna and patio was a huge plus. The views were wonderful, and the staff were very respectful and helpful when it came to visit me information.

The only serious problem was how slippery the shower was, fell immediately on entering, it got better through the weekend so might have been residual cleaner or something

November 25, 2023 Walked into the room and the (baseboard heater) was at 0 degrees - what? It was -9 degrees C when we arrived. Turned it up to 70 and left to go shopping for a few hours. Returned to find the room barely warm enough to take our coats off, but not warm enough to remove shoes. Went to the front desk and advised the young girl there (daughter and Co owner with her parents I found out from check in conversation) and asked for either a different room or a space heater. She insisted she had turned the heat on that morning when she knew the room was booked, and proceeded to pull a small space heater out from under her desk which ended up lending sufficient assistance to the baseboard heater to get the room up to temperature quickly. The room maintained temperature through the night. We had no intentions is swimming, but went looking for the pool and hot tub out of curiosity, which we found is behind the building and up a set of not well lit stairs. Only comment here is the facility does NOT look like what is in the photo. Pool was drained for the season. Hot tub was an above ground tub and covered but was available for use apparently. General comments - a place in a state of exterior disrepair.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable, bedding and pillows were great. Bathroom clean. Coffee maker in room worked fine.

re. the Survey Question re. safety of area - you are in a wildlife corridor - you will encounter animals - so some caution is called for but the security of the facilities is good. Common areas are well lit so no feelings of being unsafe or surprises. That is the only reason for my rating for that question. Just now, the highway in front is the Alt Route for the Trans Canada Highway, so with the road closure (22:00 - 07:00 Hrs - daily ) at Golden means that more trucks pass by at night. This will resolve in very early 2024 - so don't let this put you off coming and staying. I found it quieter than being at home.

The location was close to the Official Hot Springs Pool. It was an easy if bracing early morning walk into 'town' to the restaurant that does the breakfast for the Tyrol. Easy access to town and the highway for arrival / departure. Due to the time of year, the room rate was less. Good value for an overnight get away.

We just stayed for a few nights at Motel Tyrol. We really enjoyed our stay! The location was perfect for us and the service was super friendly. The picnic/BBQ area outside was awesome and well used by us saving us from eating out each time with a large family. The pool/hottub was definitely a highlight for the kids. We had a wonderful time and definitely recommend the stay!

You can hear the trafic on the road. However this was not disturbing for us.

A lot of noise from trucks going by on road early and late. Lights outside room were bright and shone into room and drapes would not stay fully closed.

Owner and staff were relaxed and friendly. Pool and hot tubs were awesome.

We don't mind the building being an old one but the maintenance of facilities, e.g: stove and faucets could be better. The high-up ( on top of the fridge) location of the microwave requires the use of a chair to operate for folks like us. We expected a bit more, given that the room costed us over $300 per night.

Convenient location and the 2-bedroom apartment style is great for families.
