There were cobwebs on the kitchen ceiling and a visible layer of dust on the TV pedestal. We also noticed a small pile of dead insects in a corner of the bedroom.

We had initially booked one cottage that was not very pleasant and did not have the best view. The owners were very accommodating and offered us a larger cottage with a great view at a discount.

The location was great to enjoy many parts of cape breton. The views are beautiful here and we were able to feel like we had a private area even tho we're had a bunch of rvs around us.

these are not complaints and more just observations. tiling in the kitchenette was poor, some fell off and some of the finishing touches trims and minor details could have been better.

We were the first to stay in the cabin for the season. We understand the cottage was closed all winter however the smell of “old/musty” was a bit overwhelming.

The advertised Wi-Fi was basically non-existent and unreliable. The advertised laundry facilities were dirty, our clothes were stained by something unknown in the washer. The dryers didn't work until the owner came and hit one to get it started.

Strong mouldy and rusty smell. lots of bugs inside the room. could not sleep at night and even don’t want to remove any cloths or shoes. bugs running fast in the room. Booked 2nights and left at the 2nd morning as no more second want to stay there. Feel itch and start coughing after stay one night. Double pay for another property and no refund. Trip ruined. Worst ever place.

The cottage was advertised as having a kitchen with fridge, oven and stovetop. There was a mini fridge, a toaster oven and a plug-in two burner cooking top that sat on the counter. It was okay, but we had to tweak our meals accordingly. The wifi didn't work so we asked about it. They said it was down everywhere but later that evening it worked so we had it then and the morning we checked out. We were not able to have fresh towels until three days passed, so we each had only one face cloth, one hand towel and large towel. We had to ask for a dish cloth and dish towel for dishes as they forgot to put them in the cottage. The cottage we rented didn't have much for privacy as there were campers parked on most sides. The title of their establishment did not state it was a campground as well, so we were just surprised but it was fine. A small propane BBQ was said to be available for use but you actually had to buy a $10 propane tank to use it, so the advertising was a little misleading.

The beds were comfortable and the view was very nice of the water. We asked if we could check out an hour later than listed so we could watch our online live church service at 10:30am. They were very accommodating. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and helpful. You could help yourself to campfire wood. Great location and loved having two bathrooms in the cottage for our family! Both bedrooms has AC and the cottage was very roomy. Cable tv was great too! We enjoyed our stay.
