The neighbour upstairs was too loud, you can always hear their footsteps. I have messaged the property about it and they were responsive.

It was clean and everything that we needed to enjoy our stay was there and having the national park pass was a good perk as you didn’t need to line up at the gates when entering Banff.

When plugging in hair dryer & other accessories, several of the wall plugs would not hold the cord plugs & they kept falling out while in use.

The only issue we has was related to the folks in the unit above us. They were very noisy at times, especially heavy footsteps and constant movement of furniture across the floor (evening hours were the worst).

on arrival, we loved everything about the place…easy keyless entry, cozy and comfortable interior that offers all the basic comforts, including well-stocked kitchen (dishes, utensils, appliances), and we appreciated the pet-friendly policy for Oscar 🐾

The downstairs unit is extremely noisy as the entire block is a lesson in poor design (living room and deck of the upstairs units are located immediately above the main bedroom of the downstairs units) and poor construction standards especially in regards to a total lack of sound attenuation materials. For a dog friendly unit the metal entry stairs are not dog friendly. The linens were laundered with a highly scented laundry liquid to the point that we had to use our own sheets and duvet (from our travel emergency kit) and buy towels. It took two washes with baking soda (which luckily there was some in the unit - well done) to remove the smell from the washing machine so we could use it. The laundry cupboard suffers from a lack of light and poor ergonomics due to a washing machine with the wrong door opening orientation. The vacuum was ineffective and needs replacing. The unit needs a lock anchor point in the front outside vestibule so that bikes can be secured properly out of the weather and out of view. The external vestibule was very dirty (cigarette butts and wrappings) and we were told that this was the responsibility of the strata and that they did not clean it in winter. As the unit comes with deck chairs to sit in this area one would contend that it is part of the unit and therefore should be cleaned between guests. As all the units are non smoking I was quite disappointed to have to smell cigarette and marijuana smoke (from people smoking on their decks and entry vestibules). The main draw of this unit over a hotel room is the kitchen (so we could cook our own meals) and the ability to wash our clothes during a week long stay for outdoor activities. This positive was largely negated by the extremely noisy nature of the building and the lack of a management agent to ask other unit guests to reduce the noise they were making after 10 pm.

The location was excellent, the communication from the owners/ booking team was also excellent. They were good at replying to queries. The kitchen was well appointed and in general the owners have done a lot with a small space. Good water pressure and good supply of hot water. It was great to have a sofa to sit and relax after a day exploring (something that most hotel rooms do not offer) For the time of year, when most accommodation is priced higher, the unit is a fair price.
