Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

CanadaA little sketchy coming in at night being in downtown, but other than that it was a perfect location to get anywhere you needed too. Would like more garbage bags around the apartment, and could hear neighbors in the hall.
Very easy process, they guided me through every step. Communication started off via message and then onto email. Place was great for a business trip, right at the heart of the city. Would definitely come back!

CanadaI booked for my family of 4, maybe should consider getting 2 more pillows and extra towels when you have 4 guests. I wanted to use the BBQ and bought everything, invited some people over and the propane tanks were empty. Building owners should have that taken care of, I had to buy a propane tank refill..but the rest was all great
Location was great, I travelled for a tournament in the RBC convention center, just walking distance. The Forks is nearby as well, many places to visit.

Canadatwo things for the owners: (1) i think the process of getting the key fob/garage door opener and the return process needs to be thought out better. (2) i was able to make do but if the kitchen is to be made to be more functional, larger pots and pans might be provided (they do not need to be brand new. value village, goodwill, salvation army stores have great inexpensive stuff). and maybe simple table salt...???
this was a great stay. i booked through booking.com but i think this is a airbnb offered property, so expectations should be changed -you get an ENTIRE apartment. i will say that getting access to the apartment/garage (booking process and getting keys) takes some patience and effort, but is well worth it. make sure you keep an open dialogue with the owners. the location is great as you are in the heart of d-town winnipeg (portage/main). i was here for the jets hockey game and i was a 2 minute walk from arena. the pictures are accurate -clean, comfortable bedroom, living room, t.v. w/cable channels, kitchen, bathroom, secure building and underground parking. you are close to restaurants, shops. this a fantastic place for a travelling single or travelling couple. i think the sofa functions as a pullout but for more than two, this place is 'tight'. but then again if your only concern is just sleeping, bathing, it is enough.

New ZealandThe process around confirmation (after the booking.com steps) was very complicated, access into the unit is also super complex and would be almost impossible with only one person. Then once we got in the previous guest hadn’t left fob or garage remote. These things happen so the cleaner should have noticed instead of us spending hours trying to get this sorted. Then when leaving we had arranged a slightly late checkout and came back to find ourselves locked out of the apartment. We stayed in multiple properties all around the world and host ourselves and this was by far the worst experience.
The location is perfect and apartment reasonably well set up.
