Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesFor the upgrade cost the falls were great however it was expensive to do so. The facilities at the hotel were just okay. No food or bar available.
Fantastic view of the falls but it was not clear in the booking.com write up that only certain rooms were Fall view. As a result it cost a small fortune to upgrade and I was someone embarrassed to have to do so.

CanadaWhen checking in at 7pm on a Friday night (what I would consider peak time), there was 1 check in desk open and a queue of 7 groups waiting. Not only did the woman checking in the group ahead take over 15 minutes with one group, more frustratingly the manager (?) on duty felt it was more important to tell off her other staff member for over 10 minutes, in front of all the customers. At one point he tried to step away to start helping the customers and she called him back to continue berating him. Surely this could have been done in private and at a more appropriate time. When I finally got to the counter, having sent my friend and her exhausted, hungry 2 year old ahead to our dinner location because check in was taking so long, the same manager apologised for the delay…which she had been directly responsible for. Beyond this, the beds were uncomfortable, the pillows lumpy, there was a lovely bath tub with no plug and a metal grate to stop a plug being put it. Again great for bathing a toddler. And we called down to room service 3 times for a corkscrew which when finally delivered broke within 30 seconds and didn’t open the bottle. They then tried to deliver us a cot we didn’t order at 10:30pm. Convenient for seeing the falls but I wouldn’t recommend over the many other hotels. Also $45+tax parking per night is exorbitant.

Canada45 minutes check in. Pillows were small. Building exterior was flapping and making noise all night. No coffee maker in the room. No wardrobe closet by the bedroom.

United StatesThere were no chairs in our room, I was expecting one regular chair and one for the desk area. The AC/Heater was difficult to figure out without instructions. The shower/tub was narrow.
The view from our room was spectacular. The bellman Charlie and Joe were very nice and extremely helpful. Also, Tyler took care of us getting us a chair for the room and quickly picking up our trash and recyclables. The 24 hour coffee/tea bar was nice and the availability of microwave too.
