How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Getting in and out the garage was a bit much as the keys didn't work. The parking price was too much.
I loved the location was perfect, everything was walking distance. The staffs were very friendly.

The room location 717 is located next to the elevators and it was busy and louder than our last stay.
Location, cleanliness, staff, pool however the closed too early 9pm perhaps 9-10pm 16+ would be a great option

While having the balcony was nice, a chair or two to enjoy it a bit more would have made it.more enjoyable..
View from the corner king room was very nice. Staff were very helpful. The room was spacious and very clean. The hotel is in an area downtown convenient walking distance to many museums and Parliament hill.

Perfect location, within walking to famous sites. Some of the population in the area was a bit concerning but it’s to be expected in that area.

the bathroom hadn’t been properly cleaned when we arrived - it looked like someone had vomited in the toilet and it had sprayed through to the back We were there for five nights and no one came to do even the basics, we were out of toilet paper by last day and had to call every day, sometimes twice to get coffee and supplies - I understand COVID restrictions, but for a stay of more than days, I think you need to have someone come in at least once

Order room service . Very quick and efficient . Also ask for a romantic Idea and they bought us covered strawberries with Prosecco. Very nice surprise .

The room was pretty dated - bathroom, tv and bed can definitely use an upgrade. Bed was comfy but creaky just sitting on it. Was hoping to enjoy the balcony but it looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in a while and spiders were around.
Great location. We were there for the August long weekend so tons to see and do within the Parliament area without much driving around! Staff were super nice and amazing at what they do. Loved that the hotel had events (Yuk Yuks and Burlesque) that weekend!

One thing I would like to comment on is the bathtub in our room was very slippery. It's weird but as you age you kind of notice these things. There should be rubber mats in the tubs. Stairs into the pool would have been a good idea too for those who are older and not as mobile.
The location was perfect. The beds were ok...but kind of old....I did feel a bit of a rod in my back from the bed. Also a coffee shop would be nice in the hotel from when you got back from where ever you were. We went to a show at the NAC and wanted a coffee Star bucks was closed at 11pm.....so that is kind of weird. It should be open longer.

Bathroom tap was a bit dirty, elevator card was sometimes a bit difficult to use when people going to multiple floors.

Broken printer in business centre. Staff were helpful though and printed a document I needed. Hotel had lots of balconies. After booking with booking.com I was given a room without a balcony right next to the elevator. This was the only negative aspect of the stay.

Heat setting could have been a few degrees lower.
