You need a car to go to services such as restaurants and ATM. However, there is a pharmacy offering basic food.

Good option for a friendly and not expensive accommodation.

My wife and I recently traveled from Ontario to Newfoundland in an electric vehicle, staying at economy motels such as yours, along the way. We were rather disappointed that no economy motels provided overnight EV charging. I would highly recommend that economy motel owners consider installing Level 2 240 volt EV chargers of approximately 30-40 amp capacity connected to a network such as FLO or Chargepoint. The network would collect the cost through their network RFID card or app to compensate the motel owner. A reasonable charge of about $1.50/hr. would be much more attractive to me, then staying at a luxury motel and paying $50 to $100 more per night and receiving “free” charging for approximately $10 worth of EV charging.

We bought some provisions locally and kept in the provided refrigerator. Full kitchen provided with lots of pots and pans. Good restaurants nearby. Able to use the laundry for $5.

It is a bit far from the water front and where the action is in Rocky harbour, but only a very short distance by car or about a 10 -15 min walk

A very basic and clean room with a large common area to prepate meals and eat them. As an older couple we felt very comfortable in this place designed for younger people. Lively and friendly during the day and very quiet at night. Very accomodating staff.

This Centre is the best because it combines so many activities in one place. I went to Rocky Harbour to visit Gros Morne National Park, booked a tour Western Brook Pond, which was guided by the same guys I could see in the hostel every day. Also, I had to get to Deer Lake somehow and these guys helped me a lot because they have a shuttle for a low price compared to local taxi. I'm more than happy that I picked up this place.

With the exception of one staff person, I found the people at the desk to be unfriendly and not particularly helpful. They did the bare minimum to greet me if I greeted them first and gave minimal information if I asked a question, but didn’t seem particularly interested in the job.

I really liked that travelling on my own. It made it easy to meet people. I also appreciate it if the doors were fairly sound, proof given the proximity of living space to the sleeping space.

We are a senior couple who stayed in the 1 bed/bath green room.Young man on desk was terrific and on his desk was the resident black/white cat.Facilities were great,2 fridges,stove,dining tables.Coffee in a.m.with donation if wanted.Would highly recommend.Oh,our room was spotless,lovely shower.

Nice place to stay for budget tourists. We stayed two nights. Clean simple privat rooms. we did a shirt walk to the harbour to watch the sunset our first evening which was beautiful. The common spaces as kitchen and hanging out on sofa-area are spacious and well equipped. The staff is very friendly and gives a lot of information over the area, the possibilities for hikes etc. very recommendable!

The bed was a but low for my knees 🥲 - would book the bigger room if going again which had a bigger higher bed and bigger bathroom but if you have no joint issues the room was perfectly comfortable.

We loved being in the midst of other people enjoying their holiday and meeting others in the common area. Kitchen was good to be able to use. Great location with plenty to explore in the area.
