All perfect, could only have wished for more sunshine

Perfect place for visiting Vancouver Island. Location was perfect for my exploration of the West Coast area and the many nice spots all the way between Nanaimo and Tofino. The room itself had everything I needed. Breakfast was excellent and Bill had many good tipps for exploring suited to my -unfortunately- short time of stay, including nice restaurants to visit. I think nothing beats this kind of local experience if you really want to get to know a place. Would 100% recommend and go there again.

The bed was comfy, the house was clean and the hosts were amazing. They couldn't do enough for us to help make our stay perfect. They were happy to give us information about walks in the area and good resturants, tea and coffee when we stayed in due to the bad weather and offers to join for dinner in the evening, as well as amazing breakfasts. They are just delightful people to talk too!

It was very nice talking with the host over breakfast. The host was knowledgable and informative, and he loves sharing his insight as a local. The breakfast was simple but healthy, and locally sourced. They even prepared a homemade gift for us when we leave.

Breakfast was ample and delicious (eggs, toast, bacon, coffee and tea) - Bill and Milly make jams, nut butters and salsas in-house themselves, as well as providing a little gift for everyone of homemade soap! They were warm and helpful and friendly but also gave us the space for our group meeting at breakfast as we needed to make a plan for the rest of our trip :). They were also very flexible and accommodating about a late check in from our group.

Bill and Milly were fantastic hosts. They were such a pleasure to chat with and made us feel very welcomed. The property is in a beautiful location that's a perfect hub for visiting a lot of the surrounding areas and a bunch of great hikes in the area as well. Breakfasts were great too!

This is a home away from home. Bill and Milly gave me dinner as well as breakfast the next morning. The house is beautiful and my room was very comfortable. If I didn't already know this town, this stay would be enough to make me fall in love with Port Alberni.

Bill was extremely pleasant and helpful. He even provided dinner for us - a home-cooked meal that was delicious and included in the price! We were only 3 minutes from where we needed to go to catch our boat to Bamfield, and he provided information on parking, etc. The house was super quiet and there was absolutely zero street noise , which made for a great sleep. We will definitely stay here again if we are coming to Port Alberni. I cannot recommend this property highly enough! Thanks Bill and Millie!

When we arrived at Outdoor Lovers we received a very gracious welcome from our hosts Bill and Milly. The room was warm, clean and comfortable, and we got a great night's sleep ahead of our trip over to Tofino the next day. In the morning was a fantastic home-made breakfast, and some excellent tips from our hosts for our weekend and potential next stay in Port Alberni.

Everything was top notch in every aspect. This fine B and B sets a very high standard on comfort and utility. The food served was incredible. Bill is a very accomplished chef and takes pride in providing high quality, healthy and delicious meals while also taking dietary preferences or restrictions into account.
