How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

very central location in Banff and was clean and comfortable for a few days. we enjoyed having access to the facilities of the "brother" venue across the road. staff were very friendly and courteous and helped us a lot to navigate where to go and what to do

The pics make is look a bit nicer than it is. The common areas are a bit cramped and unimpressive.

No restaurant but walked across the road and had the best buffet especially for breakfast and if your Aussie a great cup of tea. Also no view we had a brick wall which was disappointing

I have no complaints about our stay.
Great location, cleanliness, staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and was perfect for our family of four. Appreciated the nespresso machine in the room and the coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. The heated garage and driveway were very nice as well.

Parking was too expensive. Have stayed in other places in Banff and parking underground was free for guests.
Loved the location Room was very comfortable. Will highly recommend.

Free coffee available all day, but no restaurant or bar at the hotel. Bluebird restaurant next door is great!!

Only slight bummer was that there was no hot tub/pool on sight, there is access to a hot tub and pool at the hotel directly across the street, which was fine and easy to access but wasn't the most convenient to quickly go back to your room after the pool. Everything else was fantastic though!
Location was amazing, so central to everything you could walk out the backdoor and be on the main strip. Everything was brand new and incredibly clean. Perfect for a couple on a ski vacation.

food from previous guests was still in fridge. Missed having a hot tub on site. Underground parking is a bit tight.
LOVED the bath sheets as opposed to just regular sized towels!! (will come back solely based on that) LOVED the location! Beds were comfy, room was clean (except for one small thing overlooked by housekeeping. Loved having plates, utensils etc. available to us in our room! Would stay again!

Great room in a great location. The staff were warm and welcoming which is exactly what you need when it’s -22 outside. The room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary hot chocolates were a real treat. Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We stayed two nights. We used all the coffee pods the first morning. No one came to replenish them for the next day. We used the scan code to request more, but had no response. I appreciate that our room doesn't need cleaning every day, but, the coffee supplies should have been replenished regardless.
Beautiful hotel. Beautiful suite. Beautiful location. Really nice clean room, elevator, lobby. Underground parking was a nice bonus!

What a place! What friendly people!! So, breakfast over the road was 20 seconds away, we were welcomed every morning by reception and the severs. The location could not have been more prefect in regards to catching the bus to Lake Louise, it was 20 yards from the front of the hotel! The La Terrazzo bar was great on a night, a special thanks to Ibon who was did an amazing job serving us on NYE along with bar tenders James and Dmytro who were also brilliant. Also, thanks to Alexe for sorting a billing enquiry out for me (which was totally my fault!) To sum up, I've travelled the world and I can honestly say the hospitality at this place was the best I have ever come across. I can't wait to return! Thanks guys, and well done!
