No daily room service. Room dirty. Hair dryer didn’t work. Left a new hair dryer not installed. Bathroom needs update. The whole motel needs to be updated. Do not think any improvements have been made since it was built in the sixties. We were told after we stayed that the recommendations were very poor. The service at the front desk was poor and rude.

Just a bit expensive for what you get

Don’t know where all these bad reviews come from… It‘s a clean room with a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, TV etc. You can sit outside in the backyard and have a beautiful view on the lake.

Not very clean. plastic bags discarded under the console and dresser. Carpet dingy, peeling wall paper, flies on window sills, small windows--no fresh air, no telephone, "garden view" is the highway, no lake view, toilet base not cleaned.Nubbly sheets, thin towels, bad smell overall.

the fact that i shower up, they gave me my key, i open the door to find other people in the room? they said they had that room? so they put me the room i had once before, it has an air conditioner that i only blows hot air, its stifling out! i arrived right before they closed and i have to leave by 10? i hate this place.

Simple, comfortable room; slightly dated decor however no issues identified. Was as expected from the photos!

Comfortable stay, with an unexpected bonus of a back door from the room opening onto a fabulous grassy lawn, with garden furniture and a brand new BBQ (May 22). We had unfortunately already eaten, or we would have made the most of this bonus! Beautiful spot and very friendly owners, who were happy to assist as needed. Would stay again

Everything warm inside heated well. There are no coffee or tea available. Need more of channel tv. All good and comfortable bed The price should down during winter months. Very few people stay there at that motel

When we arrived to Barry's Bay it was -7 C thr doors to our room were open the room was freezing it took a good while to warm up. The table smelled like a fish, there was a a whole package of lunch meat and bottle of water left in the fridge, on the floor there was some debris pretty clear indication that room wasn't properly cleaned or disinfect especially during covid. On the bathroom floor there were two dead flies, no conditioner, shampoo the looked it was opened previously. The room has coffee maker but no coffee or tea available. This place needs updating on bathrooms and it's definitely not worth of the price they are charging for a night.

I didn't want to leave any review but booking.com keeps asking and asking to do one so… Pinewood Inn… we've been to this motel many times before and enjoyed the stay UNFORTUNATELY not this time! 1- Booking cancelation is impossible - so if you making reservations make sure that you can go. 2- The new owner is very rude, and unpleasant. 3-  Mold, mildew, damp musty smell - so if you have allergies or asthma - STAY AWAY from this motel 4-ceiling looks like it will fall on you at any moment 5- they "clean" only for looks. I didn’t even want to take shower or use washroom there.

Doesn't look anything like the pictures. It's nowhere near any accessible water. It is way, way overpriced for what you get.

Not much to like. Generally disappointed especially considering the price. If it cost half as much maybe I would put up with the condition of the rooms and the location.

almost everything in the room was dirty: garbage on the carpet, stains on the towels, hairs and dirt in all corners. also everything in the Hotel seemed very outdated.

room carpet was smelling, very poor building insulation. When people talked in next room it was like they are in my room talking. couldn't sleep. It was bad smell in the room and in the morning I found out that the toilet was leaking.
